Introduction & Warning: some of you might not know what Silo
Structure or LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing concepts are! "or sure# it$s
not con%entional knowledge and we are only a few underground mar-
keters to dissect the way search engines tend to e%ol%e and rank in-
formation! &e are e%en fewer to deli%er our latest findings to our su'-
scri'ers and mem'ers(
&hat you$re a'out to read represents )* of the content of my new

I ha%e started experimenting 'uilding Silo Structured sites using LSI
tools one year ago (april 0112! I ha%e started experimenting more re-
fined and more ad%anced models (thus the -itle of this report +Beyond
Silo Structure and LSI concepts/ ) months ago!
I am a'out to share some of the insights I am de%eloping in this e'ook
series# inside this special report!
In addition# all these strategies are implemented in my 3iches-In-4-
Box mem'ership, as well as in my 4dsense "iresales.

1/ Benefits of a Silo Structure?
5ou6%e pro'a'ly heard %arious things related to these 0 concepts7
- Silo Structure
- LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing)
8ne cannot 'e discussed without the other# as actually they represent two
faces of the same coin9 -he pro'lem is that those 0 words are often dis-
cussed : and often together# 'ut not usually as a whole concept a'out site
'uilding and site optimi;ation!
So what is a <Silo Structure<=
-o explain# perhaps it$s 'est to look at some examples!!!
"or example# if you ha%e a site co%ering the <Sailing Boats< niche# you will
ha%e keywords and articles relating to this niche - such as sailing 'oat
e>uipment# sailing 'oat storage# and so forth!
,owe%er# your site is a <standalone< site# meaning it is not linked to any
other site you host that would gi%e more information on related niches!
&hen you get the search engines to index it# they 'egin to dri%e traffic to
it! In return# your %isitors might take some action when they %isit the site#
(such as su'scri'e# click on ads# etc!! If your site is tightly targeted and
'uilt around some good <niche< keywords# then it will 'e easily indexed!
3ow# imagine if you decide to co%er the whole <Boating< industry! &ill you
simply create a site with some articles and keywords related to 'oating# or
could you try to <structure< your site 'ased on the information your %isitor
would like to find=
?ommon sense tells you that you should 'uild your site 'ased on the in-
formation your %isitor wants to find! "or instance# when you$re looking for


information on 'oating using @oogle# would you type <'oat< to find specif-
ic information related to <used power 'oat e>uipment<=
8f course not9 4nd if a human does not do it# then you can 'e sure that
the search engines are no longer indexing sites like that either9 Search
engines are using today algorithms which tend to index sites more in the
way that humans 'eha%e# so that they can return more rele%ant results!
3ow here is the issue! If you ha%e constructed your 'oating site around a
<standalone< structure# then you will ne%er rank highly for <used power
'oats e>uipment< - or at least you will ha%e a lower rank than someone
who has 'uilt a standalone dedicated site for <power 'oat< in which he will
'e co%ering <used e>uipment< for example!
So# let6s go 'ack to %isit our +Silo Structure/ and see how it will work with
our example! Search engines want to find the 'est sites# also called <au-
thority< sites! -his way# they will return >uality results to their %isitors!
-hose %isitors 'eing their 'usiness model feeders!
"or around a ear# search engines ha%e gi%en high rankings to silo struc-
tured sites# as they are the 'est example of an authority site!
In our 'oating example# a silo structured site would 'e a site which co%ers
multiple nichesA all related to our main industry ('oating and would ha%e
these topics7
- Power Boats
- Sail Boats
- Boat B>uipment (see figure C for all related niches
Bach of the a'o%e topics is a ?ategory that falls under our main segment
(+'oating/! -his category is also called a +SIL8/# and is in turn co%ered 'y
a complete <site< (see figure C for more details7 this means
Dele%ant keyword content with 3a%igation menu
Eeep internal linking and ?ross linking
Link 'ack to the Landing page of the Silo structured site

In a logical way# a search engine such as @oogle for example will consider
such a site as an authority site# 'ecause it is well structured# and it is a'le
to 'ring a useful experience to the %isitor looking for specific information
on 'oating!
-o complete a silo structure# you will need to tell @oogle that your site is
indeed silo structured (we all know that search engines follow links to in-
dex and analy;e pages! 5ou can achie%e this 'y simply creating a landing
page which in turn links to all of your <Silos<!
In this way:
- 5ou ha%e a complete co%erage of a gi%en industry!
- Information is always categori;ed and rele%ant (you don6t ha%e informa-
tion on power 'oats at hand when discussing sailing 'oat e>uipment!
- 5ou pro%ide information your %isitors are likely to look for!
- 4 silo (one of the sites could 'e <considered< as a standalone site# 'ut it
mostly contri'utes to the 'uilding of a much 'igger structure (the silo
structure# thus gi%ing more weight to the o%erall structure!
4 gi%en silo is not linked to the other silos! But a silo can link (and should
link to the landing page# thus letting %isitors and search engines follow
the information flow in a natural way!
Desults ha%e pro%en that this type of structure is highly effecti%e for these
reasons7
- Search engines will index silo structured sites %ery >uickly!
- 5ou gi%e a lot of information to search engines on how your information
is structured! Search engines will lo%e you for that!

?an you now see the point a'out silo structure= So what's the deal with
LSI, and how is the concept connected to silos?
It6s simple!!!'ut not really well known!
LSI is a way to find "related" topics. "or example# if you want to cre-
ate a site on <weight loss/# semantically related words would 'e <o'esity<#
<diet<# and so forth!
In their >uest to 'oth index according to rele%ancy# and to fight keyword
stuffing# search engines started to analy;e sites using the LSI concept!
-hey tend to fa%or naturally 'uilt sites! 4 naturally 'uilt <weight loss< site
would discuss o'esity# diet# healthy eating# natural her'al supplements#
and other related words# and so won6t only use the words <weight loss<!
"inally# Fust remem'er that humans are way ahead of 'ots when it comes
to analy;ing content# and that search engines ('ots will always tend to
copy our 'rain! 7-
So what6s the connection 'etween Silo Structure and LSI=
LSI is a way to get the topics that your silo structure site will co%er! It6s
the <tool< you will use to 'uild your set of silos!
If you want to 'uild a silo structured we'site co%ering the <fitness< in-
dustry# you might want to co%er some of the following topics7
- 4ero'ics
- &ellness
- -raining
- &eight Loss

ment<# <fitness programs<# and so forth!
But the point is that you need to include some of the <semantically re-
lated< niches into your silo structured site to gi%e it more weight in the
search engines!
It's a way to combine the power of Silo Structure with LSI (latent
semantic indexing).

pose of gi%ing an introduction!
If you remem'er# the su'Fect line was "Going beyond the Silo Struc-
ture concept"!
-he a'o%e gi%es an o%er%iew of what Silo Structure is# and how it should
'e used along with the LSI concept! ("5I# no one in the online marketing
niche today currently sells sites using these concepts!!!apart from me and

3ow# going 'eyond the Silo Structure concept means we will need to un-
derstand how the search engines will e%ol%e! If a silo structured we'site
has a high %alue in search engine indexes (and e%en greater if 'uilt utili;-
ing LSI tools# we then need to ask oursel%es what would 'e an e%en more
effecti%e scheme=
4 silo structure is indeed a natural scheme# and you will find this e%ery-
where throughout nature! 8ur uni%erse is 'uilt upon this 'asis!

So, given this fact, then our next performing or effective scheme
should be...Silo of Silos. Yes, adding 1 additional level to the struc-
ture to make it even more categorized and effective.
5ou may want to re-read the a'o%e carefully! It may seem o'%ious# and it
is# 'ut it$s also ,I@,L5 important!
It will gi%e more structure and this will allow e%en more rele%ancy# 'oth
for search engines# and for your %isitors!
Imagine the following:

- 5ou then 'uild a Silo Structured site co%ering the "ishing Industry ('y

- 5ou then 'uild a Silo structured co%ering the ,unting industry (which will

&ouldn$t you then 'e tempted to inform %isitors to your camping site that
you ha%e a really good site a'out fishing# or a'out hunting=

Silo Structure H LSI ha%e 'een part of my site 'uilding strategies for o%er

The above strategy (Silo of Silos) has been a part of my site build-
ing strategy for 3 to 4 months now. Results so far have been great
- with steady rankings, a higher traffic volume, and best of all,
