1 Elegen (Science) 27 June 2011/Monday 12.30-1.40pm Moderate and Weak The Variety of Resources on Earth Understanding Elements, Compounds and Mixture, The Importance of the Variety of Earths Resources to Man At the end of lesson, students should be able to: 1) state the difference between elements, compounds and mixtures 2) list the importance of variety of Earths resources to man 3) state the importance of preservation and conservation of resources on Earth Lecture, exercise Whiteboard, marker pen, hand-out note Making conclusion Predicting Having interest and curiosity 1) Teacher explain the differences between elements, compounds and mixtures 2) Teacher asks students to be in pair and let them discuss the importance of Earths resources to man for 10 minutes. 3) Then, students need to fill in the answers in the whiteboard 4) Teacher continue on explaining about preservation and conservation of resources on Earth 5) Students need to answer simple question to test their understanding about todays lesson.

2 Elegen (Science) 27 June 2011/Monday 5.15-6.15pm Moderate and Weak Independence Among Living Organisms and The Environment Synthesis Food Web, Analysing Photosynthesis At the end of lesson, students should be able to: 1) state what is producers, consumers and decomposers 2) combine a few food chains to construct food web 3) identify the producer, consumer and decomposer in a food web 4) construct a pyramid number from a food chain 5) predict the consequences if a certain component of living organisms in the ecosystem is missing. 6) state what is photosynthesis 7) state the factors required for photosynthesis 8) explain the role of photosynthesis in maintaining a balanced ecosystem Lecture, discussion, exercise Whiteboard, marker pen Relating, Making conclusion Making inference, predicting Thankful to God 1) Teacher explain todays learning objectives 2) Teacher gives a few examples of food chains and explains which one are decomposer, producer and consumer. 3) Teacher explains to students how to construct food web. 4) Students need to answer activity 4.5 (text book) and teacher guide them for time to time. 5) Teacher continues on photosynthesis by explaining factors and products of the process. 6) Students need to do homework (photosynthesis) on activity 4.7
