Unit Goals and Objectives: 1. Understanding the United States involvement in the war. 2. Military operations in Europe and the Pacific. 3. The Internment Camps and Japanese American's. 4. The constitutional issues that arose during World War II. 5. Discussion on the Atomic Bomb. 6. Analysis of where the United States is headed after the war is over and the steps towards the Cold War.

Unit Summary: Welcome to the digital unit plan. In this unit the class will be covering the events of World War II for the United States. We will explore many areas such as world leaders of the time, what brought the United States to enter into World War II, as well as what it was like away and back home during this era. This unit will look at foreign policy, major technology developments, propaganda, etc. This unit will cover socioeconomic, military and political, and social history.

Assessment Plan: Entry-Level: Quick Write: Why did the United States enter into WWII?

Formative: 1. WWII Vocabulary. 2. Quizlet: Lesson 1. 3. Concept Map: War Battles in Europe and in the Pacific. 4. Digital Unit Plan: Webercise: WWII Propaganda Exercise.

Summative: 1. Presentation: United States Propaganda Project. 2. Graphic Organizer: 10 Timeline Events. 3. Test Exam: United States in WWII.

Lesson 1 Student Learning Objective: The Internment of Japanese Americans During WWII. Lesson 2 Student Learning Objective: Webercise: Propaganda in the United States. Lesson 3 Student Learning Objective: Graphic Organizer Timeline

Acceptable Evidence: Students will complete the guided notes that go along with the lecture. Acceptable Evidence: Students will be guided along follow propaganda images on the web to complete the assignment. Acceptable Evidence: 10 Events spread out on a timeline.

Lesson Activities: Students will go along with the guided notes and complete the assignment. There is a video and an article to go along with the assignment.

Lesson Activities: Will look at the United States and propaganda that was given out to the public. Will be looking at images and a video to decide if the propaganda was effect and get into the mind set of what it was like during the time period.

Instructional Strategies: Collection Collaboration Organization

Lesson Activities: Students will make a timeline of 10 events that they think are important in this unit. Looking for the correct information, 1-4 sentences on the timeline. That the events are placed in the correct order and its an organized timeline.
