Introduction
QlikView is one of the most flexible Dash boarding tool. QlikView promotes
unlimited analysis of application data, helping users make time-saving and accurate
decisions.

Access to QlikView Applications

To get access to QlikView Applications, please send email to GSC, DATA
FOUNDATION SUPPORT [AG/1000] with details of AD Group you need access to.

Frequently Used Words

a. While using QlikView Dashboards, you will come across following words
frequently.
i. Access Point: The Access Point is a web portal accessible in any browser
including mobile devices
ii. Plugins: Plugin is a software component which helps QlikView to
integrate with browser.
iii. AD Group: AD stands for Active Directory which helps users to access
the Application.
Here are a few instructions for your first time use of the new Dash boarding tool.

Required Installations:
a. Step 1 :- To access the applications stored on Access Point, users need an IE Plugin. If you
are using Windows 7, To install the IE plugin, users would need Temporary Admin Rights.
To install the plugin please follow the steps:b. Step 2 :- Use the following link to connect to the QlikView Access point,
i. Depending on your User profile you will see either of the following two screens:Fig. 1.0 If you have access to only few Applications

c. Step 3: Click on Download Internet Explorer Plugin on top right of your screen

d. Step 4: click on Run

e. Step 5: click on Run

This will start decompressing the files and prepare the system for Installation.
f. Step 6: Select the Language and click Ok

g. Step 7: Click on Next

h. Step 8: Click on Next

i. Step 9: Click on Next

j. Step 10 : Make sure you are doing Complete installation. Then click Next

m. Step 13: Click on Finish

Setting up the Favorites
i. Click on

Next to the Name of the application

ii Click on Favorites and Profiles

Configuring the Profile

ii. Access Point Uses the Network ID to display on the Home Page

iii. If User wants to see some other name , (optional), follow the steps below:1. Click on Favorites and Profile

2. Click on Edit

3. Write the desired name in the box and click Save.

Setting up the Access Point

iv. Applications are arranged in Grid format on the Access point. User can
see the applications in List form simply by clicking on the View As

n. QlikView Applications on Access Point are grouped according to Categories. To

view all applications which belongs to one category, Select desired category from
the Category Drop Down box.

o. To search the application, write in the box and click Go.
