(he discussion about art careers will be introduced at the beginning of the lesson using hand outs and a power point. ;hen the students reali%e that the pro8ect they are making has a purpose other than being fun or pretty to look at it will give them extra drive.

(hrough out this unit we will discuss the purpose of art through greeting cards and how it affects our contemporary culture. (his sub8ect matter will also allow us a platform to discuss the multitude of art careers available in our !/st century state of mind. tudents will be given $ui% on basic vocabulary and concepts/methods of printmaking tudents can do this $ui% with help from a partner &fter the vocabulary $ui% have a discussion on what the definitions are and how they will be useful in this pro8ect ;rite definitions on board and use vocabulary handout as adaptation &lso discuss different methods of printmaking tudents will be shown the popplet site for future reference of vocabulary words.
