About the Summit Path to Positive 2014 MomentUs Leadership Summit is an invitation-only gathering of 125 national leaders from

m across the spectrum of American society gathering to exchange ideas on moving America toward effective climate solutions. It will feature inspiring national speakers, first release research, targeted breakout discussions and collaborative experiences. The Summit will emphasize interaction and connection among leaders with content that will inform, inspire and empower them independently and collectively to expand the base of support for climate action. The 2014 MomentUs Leadership Summit will be held on May 22, 2014, 8:00am to 5pm at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, IL. There will be a Leadership Summit dinner the evening before and a participant reception immediately following. Who Should Come? Senior-level leaders who are concerned about the impact of climate change on their communities, businesses and the nation, and are ready to lead by example and engage others in building leadership, collective action and public support for meaningful action on climate change.

Opening Dinner; Wednesday, May 21, 2014, 6:30 9:30 pm Senior leaders from stewardship, faith, higher education, communities, health and business sectors plus special guests in the MomentUs effort gather to connect and set the stage for a powerful day together. 2014 MomentUs Leadership Summit; Thursday, May 22, 8:30 5:00 pm Breakfast 8:00 8:30 am Session - Welcome 8:30 9:00 am Session 1 We Can Do It: Climate and Solutions 9:00 11:00 am In the face of daunting challenges, what is the way forward? In an interactive format, four leaders will share expert data, information and perspectives on our climate challenges paired with real solutions that offer a path to a secure, prosperous and promising American future. Leaders will then work in mixed small groups across sectors to develop strategies for taking these real solutions to realities. Session II A Challenge For All Of Us: Climate and Society 11:00 1:00 pm Climate change is not just science; it affects every aspect of American life. In a discussion format, leaders from health, communities, higher education, business and faith sectors will share their perspective on how climate change impacts their sectors, why they have chosen to step forward, and their thoughts on mobilizing people at scale to respond to the historic challenges facing our nation. (luncheon served during session) Session III Building Momentum For Change: Our Time Is Now 1:00 3:00 pm Our nation makes progress on substantial issues when powerful American institutions lead. In an interactive format, four leaders from successful movements including marriage equality, immigration and health care access share an assessment of the climate change movement and recommendations for strategies moving forward. Leaders will then work in small groups by sector to develop strategies for catalyzing a climate movement within their stakeholder groups, institutions and organizations. Session IV Empowered for Action: Prepared and Ready 3:00 4:00 pm Where do we go from here? Every movement makes progress on the strength of engagement of people, organizations and institutions that join efforts based on shared values. During this session, leaders will be equipped with powerful programs and tools for engaging with other leaders, their constituents and stakeholders. Closing Discussion 4:00 5:00 pm How do you see movement forward? What are your thoughts and comments to your fellow leaders? A lively, moderated open session with all leaders assembled to express views, hear from other participants and inspire each other. Closing Reception 5:00 7:00 pm A cocktail reception featuring light live music to further build connections and conclude an energizing day.
