Purpose of the Programme

Many organisations develop leaders internally and promote them into management positions yet recognise they still lack something. This Management Development Programme will enable your emerging leaders to grow to effectively manage their teams. The focus of this qualification is to enable learners to develop competence in a range of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values. This 12 month programme will enable managers to unleash the potential of their teams. The course provides a sound foundation for the professional development of managers. Minimum entry requirement is a matric certificate and learners would need to be working in an organization. Employers placing their employees on this learnership programme are eligible to receive a R16,800.00 tax rebate from SARS. Discounts can be offered for groups of 10 or more. Course Overview

This is a 12 months programme made up of six modules. Each module is five days long. A module is scheduled every 6 weeks. In between the learners need to apply what they have learnt and prepare their Portfolios of evidence. The programme can be offered to employees in a workplace, unemployed learnerships or as a tertiary student course. This course can be offered as a learnership or as a national certificate. This Qualification is for any individual who is or wishes to be involved in the Administration function within any industry, or non-commercial venture/organization. The Core Component of the Qualification offers the learner knowledge and skills in the Management of Records, Comprehension of written and verbal texts, Business Writing, Problem Solving, Ethics, Cultural Awareness, Self Management and Self Development, Project Teamwork and Business Policies and Procedures. The Qualification through its Elective Component enables the learner to specialize in areas of Administration such as Reception, Executive Administration, Financial Literacy, Relationship Management, Legal Knowledge, Communication, Project Administration and Support, Call Centre Administration and Human Resources. Learners working towards this Qualification will find that the acquisition of competence in the Unit Standards, which make up the Qualification, will add value to their jobs. This Qualification is intended to enhance the provision of service within the field of Administration within all business and non-commercial sectors.
