ThisDEECDendorsedcourserunsfrom4Juneto29October2014andprovidesVictorianteacherswitha flexibleprofessionaldevelopmentprogramshowcasingthewaysinwhichteachersfromaroundthestateare addingvaluetoteachingandlearningthrougheffectiveandseamlessuseofICTintheclassroom. Theprogramwillprovidepracticalexamplesofhowprimaryandsecondaryteachersareenhancingtheir curriculumdeliveryandstudentlearningthroughauthenticandeffectiveuseofICT,virtualcommunitiesand Web2.0tools.TheopeningsessionwillfeatureakeynoteaddressandworkshopfromWillRichardson,an internationallyrecognisededucator,writerandthinkerontheintersectionofsocialmediaandeducation.

Participantsareexpectedtoallocatearoundonehourperweekoutsideschoolhoursengagingonlinewithother courseparticipants.DEECDcoverscoursecosts.SchoolscoverCRTsifrequiredfortwofacetofacedays.

AnopeningfacetofaceeventonWednesday4JuneatNMIT(PrestonCampus). Sixonehourwebconferenceswithleadingclassroompractitionerscoveringtopicsthatinclude:General CapabilitiesintheAustralianCurriculum,ProfessionalLearningNetworks,CollaborationandInquiryBased Learning,ParentEngagement,andMakingEffectiveUseoftheRangeofDevicesAvailabletoStudents. InstructorledprofessionaldevelopmentforteachersincludingonlineforumsandWeb2.0resourcesthat empowerlearning,collaborationandcommunicationforstudentsandteachers.ThesewillincludeGlobal2, FuseandcloudsuitessuchasMicrosoftOffice365forEducationandGoogleAppsforEducation. AselfselectedInquirybasedlearningprojectwithateamofotherVictorianeducators. AculminatingfacetofaceeventonTuesday29OctoberatNMIT(PrestonCampus)featuringinspiring speakers,engagingworkshopsandteamprojectpresentations.
