ACI "Nutrilife" Promotional Campaigns goes Viral in Dhaka

In a sales-boosting effort from ACI Pure Flour Limited, the company launched an extensive promotional campaign for the products under the brand name of "Nutrilife". The products under "Nutrilife" include Rice Bran Oil, Multigrain Atta and Low GI Rice, all of which are rich in high nutritional values. The campaign commenced from the month of September, 2013 at "Rabindra Sharobor" beside Dhanmondi Lake around 6:00 am in the morning, in order to mingle with the joggers there, introduce the products to the potential customer and explain the special health benefits of Nutrilife products to them. These products were also in offer for sale at attractive discount prices to the joggers at the park. Each and every product was sold on the very first day. Bolstered by the success of the first day, APFL decided to continue with the campaign every Friday morning in Dhanmondi. The joggers seemed highly satisfied with the personal interaction between themselves and the personnel of APFL and also with the products and their prices. Furthermore, owing to the growing popularity of Rice Bran Oil, APFL has introduced a 5 liter SKU of the product. This 5 liter PET bottle is priced reasonably and therefore is attractive to those customers and their families who buy in bulk. Since the products under "Nutrilife" are somewhat unique to the palate of average Bangladeshis, their attributes are needed to be brought to the attention of the customers. So, APFL launched an intensive marketing strategy to place trained Promoters in selective Super Stores all over Dhaka for the month of September. These superstores included Meena Bazaar, Shwapno, Unimart, Prince Bazaar and Saad Musa Centre. The promoters were placed in their respective outlets so that they could explain the numerous benefits of Nutrilife products to the walk-in customers and convince them to buy those products. The overall response was grand and the sales volume, particularly that of Multigrain Atta and Rice Bran Oil went up considerably. APFL wishes to prolong such marketing efforts as long as it takes to make ACI "Nutrilife" a household name all over Bangladesh.

ACI-Syngenta signs MoU on transplanting service Revitalizing Mechanization through Versatile Multi-Crop Planter (VMP)
Mechanization has been the feature of agriculture during the last decade in Bangladesh. There has been a notable increase in the use of different tractors and power tillers. Besides, the practices such as direct sowing, zero-tillage or minimum tillage and the establishment of cover crops has been revolutionary in protecting organic matter, soil moisture and soil fertility. Significant increase is being observed in the use of seeding, weeding and threshing agro-machineries. ACI Motors Ltd. has revitalized the process of mechanization through the introduction of Versatile Multi-Crop Planter (VMP). ACI Motors Ltd. is the first company to bring the technology in ACI Agribusinesses signed a Bangladesh. Through the technology, cultivation and sowing of seeds are possible simultaneously. The planter fits with any kind of power tiller of 12-16 horse power. Since sowing of seed and implying of fertilizer can be done at a time, the productivity increases. The machine can easily measure the distance between columns. It can also determine the quantity of fertilizer and seed implied in the cultivation process. Most importantly the planter is not expensive and easy to fix. Versatile multi-crop planter helps farmers to reduce cost by saving the excessive use of seed, fertilizer and most importantly, time. It takes only two hours and 2.5 liters of fuel in sowing and cultivating 33 decimal of land simultaneously. The planter will help to provide the cultivation suited to land and crop. The work rate of the farmers will increase as well when cultivation, sowing of seeds and implying fertilizer can be done at a time. The machine can be used with strip tillage, single pass shallow tillage, zero tillage, bed planting and conventional tillage. Cropping of paddy, wheat, maize, soya bean, jute and different types of pulses etc. is possible by using the planter.
