Market Visit to Angola

(Agriculture, Engineering and Infrastructure Sectors)

Angola is one of the fastest growing and most promising markets in sub-Saharan Africa. The countrys oil and gas production is predicted to exceed that of Nigeria within a few years but the Angolan Government is also looking to diversify away from its dependence on fossil fuels by becoming the manufacturing hub of Africa. Angola is already an important trade partner for UK companies with annual investments of over 3 billion. The British and Angolan Governments are looking to build on this and signed a High Level Partnership Agreement in June 2013, signalling their intent to grow the political and economic relationships between the two countries. Following UKTIs successful Market Visit to Angola in October 2013, we are looking to build on the growing relationships between Britain and Angola, focusing on specic sectors identied as offering strong growth. These will include: Infrastructure: - Construction - Equipment - Transport - Related Services (architects, consulting engineers etc.) Agriculture/Agro-technology: - Equipment - Services (agronomy, satellite imaging, irrigation systems etc.) Industrial Machinery: - Building Materials (e.g. wood, breeze blocks, tiles etc.) - Food
