I no longer crochet, but if you have any simple questions, feel free to ask. Complicated ones, I wont be able to answer as they would require me to work the pattern and Im unable to do that at the present time. Finished Size: Approx. 4-4 1/2 inches For larger coaster see patterns notes below Materials for a set of 4: Cotton yarn -- approx. size 5 Crochet hook: Size E (or size needed for gauge) Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends) Pattern Notes: To create a larger coaster of approx. 6 inches, use a G hook and ww cotton yarn (Sugar'n Cream or Peaches and Creme). Special Stitches: Beginning cluster: (Beg Cl) ch 2, (yo, insert hook in ch sp, yo and draw up a loop, yo and pull off two loops) twice, yo, draw through all loops on hook. Cluster: (cl st) - (Yo, insert hook in ch sp, yo, draw up loop, yo and through 2 loops on hook) three times, yo, draw through all 4 loops on hook. Shell: 7 dc in same stitch. Instructions: Ch 5, sl st in first ch to form ring. Rnd 1: Ch 3 - counts as first dc now and throughout, 17 dc in ring, join with sl to 3rd ch of beginning ch 3. (18 dc) Rnd 2: Ch 4 - counts as first dc and ch 1 sp, (dc, ch1 in next dc) around, join with sl to 3rd ch of beginning ch 4. (18 ch 1 sps) Rnd 3: Sl st in ch 1 sp, beg. cl in first ch 1 sp, ch 2, *hdc in next ch 1 sp, ch 2, cl st in next ch 1 sp, ch 2, repeat from * around, hdc in next ch 1 sp, ch2, join with sl to beg. cl. st. Rnd 4: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 5dc in same stitch as joining, (ch 1, sc in hdc, ch 1, shell in cluster) around, ch 1, sc in hdc, ch 1, dc in same stitch as joining st (completes shell), sl st to top of ch 3 to join.
