As per records of some agencies like IEA, EIA, Energy usage per year approximately is 26,164 terawatt hour! But good thing is that Everything always revolves around human behavior including the discussion turns upon the usage of technology. According to one of the survey of European Environment Agency - Feedback to customers can help in bigger savings as shown below: Intervention Feedback Direct feedback (including smart meters) Indirect feedback (e.g. enhanced billing) Feedback and target setting Energy Audits Community-based initiatives Combination interventions (of more than one) Range Of Energy Savings 5-15% 5-15% 2-10% 5-15% 5-20% 5-20% 5-20%

So a product which can show Behavioral Usage of energy and give a Feedback based on that can play an important role in energy savings. This is how B.A.C.E comes into picture.

Energy Saving Tips in B.A.C.E.

Manual Solution: As per US Department of energy, up to 75% of the power is consumed by appliances like, TVs, cell phone chargers while they are off but plugged in into an outlet. So make a habit to plug them out. Automated Probable Solution: Enforce the behavior! System will send a mobile alarm to the owner of the house for the points that are not in use. If after certain number of alerts the alarm is not acknowledged then B.A.C.E should override the point value to OFF.
