Problem Definition
The main objective of this project is to design and develop a Web based booking system for Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM) Laboratory. The Web enabled booking system is an online system which allow the clients to book the laboratory over the internet at any time. This system should allow the clients to update/cancel their booking . This system should allows the administrator to manage the whole booking system.

Background
In traditional system, Clients book the laboratory over the phone. Telephonic network problem. Language barrier. Register entry for each booking. Time taking, costly. Undisciplined.

System Functionality
Functions define the fundamental actions that system must perform. The functionality for the project is divided among the users and administrator of the SEM laboratory. User Functionality. Administrator Functionality.

Conclusion
This system will save time and paper work and make booking more systematic and disciplined. It will remove telephonic network problem and language barrier.

It is user friendly, and has required options, which can be utilized by the user to perform the desired operations.
