Previous Release from November 1, 2009

On November 1, 2009, at 1:43 am (prior to the return to Standard Time), Denver Police
Officers responded to a shooting at 4040 East Evans (Club Posh). While officers were
investigating this shooting (in the parking lot), they found another shooting victim (also in the
parking lot).

At 1:21 am (after the time change), and while still investigating the two shootings at 4040
E. Evans, officers clearly heard multiple shots fired to their east. A citizen’s call to 911
confirmed that there had been another shooting in the McDonalds parking lot (3996 E Evans).

As officers were responding to the shooting at 3996 E. Evans, they observed a vehicle
fleeing the crime scene. Officers chased this vehicle (which later crashed at 17th and Oneida) and
two parties were taken into custody. It is unknown whether these parties are related to the
shootings at this time.

At 1:59 am (after the time change) the Denver Police Department learned that an
additional shooting victim (brining the total to three) had walked into Rose Medical Center.

Two of the shooting victims are in critical condition and the condition of the walk-in
victim is unknown at this time.

Denver Police Detectives will continue to investigate these shootings and no further
information will be released at this time.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call 720-913-STOP or text
CRIMES to leave information.
