FREEDOM PARK SDA DEPARTMENTAL PLAN FOR AMO 2014 PART A

1 what were the objectives of the department this year 2013? a. To empower 3 church members at KANDABWE in viable business venture b. To have 30 affiliated AMO members c. Generate 20 interest d. Baptise 25 souls at Kamfinsa prison e. To involve a minimum of 50 church members to participate in fitness walks every quarter. f. To undertake hospital visitations for spiritual and material support once every two quarters g. To construct a bus shelter at the church bus stop. 2. Undertook fitness walks although with reduced numbers participating.

3. What were the challenges? a. Insufficient resources to undertake all planned plans. b lack of interest by some members to join AMO

PART B What does the department aim to achieve in 2014? a. To empower 1no church member preferably at Kandabwe branch to undertake a viable business venture. b. To grow affiliated membership to 30no c. To baptise 50no souls at Kamfinsa Prison. d. To generate 20 interests e. To involve a minimum of 50 no members to participate in fitness walks every quarter f. To undertake hospital visitations for spiritual and material support once every two quarters g. To construct a bus shelter at the church bus stop h. To undertake community service project at Buyantanshi in order to help promote the holding of the crusade in May 2013

PART C What will the department do to achieve the above objectives? Objective (a) - Identify an eligible candidate. - Assist in preparation of the business plan and training. - Make available a maximum amount of K1000.00 repayable on agreed terms - Supervise and undertake periodic review of the progress. Objective (b) Retain all the 24 affiliated members in 2013 Assign affiliated members to encourage non-affiliated members to affiliate. List all potential members and assign affiliated members in the recruitment assignment. Promote the activities of AMO through the AMO corner in Sabbath bulletin.

Objective(c) Conduct a minimum of one worship service every quarter. Distribute relevant literature to inmates. Donate material items periodically. Distribute VOP lessons periodically. Conduct a crusade for 2 weeks.

Objective (d) Appoint an interest coordinator to identify potential interests during external AMO programs. Distribute relevant literature with contact details during fitness walks. Put relevant literature in the bus shelter for general pick up once the bus shelter is constructed. Identify and target relatives and spouses of church members who are not Seven Day Adventists

Objective (e) Promote programs of all fitness walks in the Sabbath bulletin and health talks during Sabbath school programs. Relate walking distances to different levels of fitness.

Objective (f) Visit the hospital once every quarter. Distribute material items. Conduct prayer sessions to patients. Distribute gospel literature.

Objective (g) Design the bus shelter Prepare the BOQ Determine the actual cost viz.a viz the budget provision. Finance the shortfall of the cost by approaching targeted members for assistance

Objective (h) Identify a visible community project. Engage AMO members in the physical execution of the project.

Quarter 1 a. Identify the church member that need to be assisted and assist in the preparation of the business plan, b. Secure allocation of space in the Sabbath bulletin on continuous basis to promote AMO activities and generate interest from potential members. c. Conduct one session of Sabbath worship at Kandabwe branch and Kamfinsa prison respectively. d. Distribute literature and make donations during the above worship sessions. e. Identify and visit 3 church members who have family members not belonging to SDA church. f. Visit members who are sick and those backsliding in the faith. g. Undertake a visit to the hospital to distribute items to the needy patients and conduct prayers h. Organise 3no fitness walks every 1st Sunday of the month and distribute literature en route. i. Commence planning and design of the bus shelter. j. Generate a list of all potential AMO members as a basis of recruitment effort k. Identify the community project to be done at Buyantashi. QUARTER 2 a. Make available funds to the member who qualified for financial assistance. b. Commence the construction of the bus shelter. c. Conduct Sabbath worship at Kandabwe branch and Kamfinsa prison and distribute material and literature d. Visit sick members and those faltering in faith e. Review recruitment progress regarding affiliation of AMO membership. f. Organise 3no fitness walks and distribute literature en route g. Execute the identified community project at Buyantashi. h. visit identified non Adventist persons of Seventh Day Adventist church members. i.Undertake hospital visitation.

QUARTER 3 a. Conduct worship services at Kamfinsa prison and Kandabwe. b. Intensify the distribution of VOP lessons in readiness for the crusade in 4th quarter. c. Visit the hospital, pray for patients, distribute literature and and make material donations to the patients d. Review the progress of the construction of the bus shelter. e. Organise fitness walk as per standard practice f. Review progress of interest generated. g. Visit the sick and those faltering in faith. h. Continue to visit church families with relations who are not SDA members. QUARTER 4 a. Hold AMO day. b. Conduct worship service at Kamfinsa prison culminating with the crusade. c. Organise fitness walks as per scheduled standard
