ADVENTIST MENS ORGANIZATION (AMO) REPORT FOR THE 1ST QUARTER ENDING 23rd MARCH 2013
1. Mission of the organisation: chiefly outreach programmes i. Lay preaching effort ii. Community Service iii. Prison Ministry Department Objectives
a. To empower 3no vulnerable church members to undertake viable business ventures

b. To grow affiliated membership to 30no c. To baptise 25 souls at Kamfinsa Prison. d. To generate 20no interests.
e. To involve a minimum of 50 no church members to participate in fitness walks once every quarter

f. To undertake hospital visitations for spiritual and material support once in two quarters. g. To construct a bus shelter at church bus stop Action Plan Identify 3 church members for business empowerment. Identify, list and persuade all potential men to join AMO. Conduct worship services, distribute various items and hold evangelistic effort at Kamfinsa Prison. Conduct worship services at Kandabwe once every quarter Visit the patients at the hospital and distribute various items Visit sick members and those backsliding in faith. Visit sick members and those ailing in faith iv. Conduct Sabbath worship program at Kandabwe v. Identify and visit 3no church who have family members not belonging to SDA vi. Generate a list of potential AMO members. vii. Conduct fitness walk viii. Distribute church literature ix. Promote AMO activities in Sabbath bulletins

b. Activities Undertaken i. AMO effort to identify eligible members was incorporated in a similar programme initiated by the elders to avoid duplication of effort. Three AMO members participated in the interview of 13 potential members at Kandabwe. ii. 5no church members who were sick and bereaved were visited. iii. AMO conducted Sabbath worship and bible study at Kandabwe and had joint lunch with the brothers and sisters to foster fellowship. iv. A list of 50 brothers has been generated which will form the basis for recruitment of members. We expect increased membership especially affiliated members once the recruitment is in gear. v. 3no fitness walks to Wusakile (12km) and Chamboli turn off (14km) were undertaken. The lowest number of participants was 19 and the highest was 29. Both brothers and sisters participated. It was to be having fitness walks every 1st Sunday of the month.

6. Brief comments on general performance of the department The performance was satisfactory despite not executing all the planned programmes. It is expected that the tempo will increase as the year progresses 7. Time Management i. ii.
