Keywords! en ironmental damage le el, mining, group ) mining materials 'onorogo ha e a potential of group ) mining materials. The potential of group ) mining materials in some distri*ts ha e been mined. The mining has been done by the people around the s*ope of mining lo*ation by open pit mining method. Mining a*ti ities using open pit methods *aused en ironmental damage su*h as damage to the body of the soil. The soil damage *aused loss of plant gro(th pla*e and also *aused egetation loss. +ased on the problem, resear*h about damage le el *aused by mining of group ) mining materials must needed. This study aims to determine the e,tent of en ironmental damage *aused by mining a*ti ities in the group ) mining materials, e,isting mining lo*ations in 'onorogo. +ased on en ironment damage le el, it *an be e,plained about (hat do in*rease and de*rease the en ironment damage le el. This study is a sur ey resear*h (ith des*riptif analysis. Method of this resear*h using a sur ey method. The population is #- lo*ation of group ) mining materials. Samples (ere ta.en by using purpossi e random sampling method. There are si, lo*ations (ere sele*ted as sample, three lo*ations in the Distri*t /enangan, t(o lo*ations in the Distri*t 0gebel, and one lo*ation is in the Distri*t 'ulung. 1ind of data is primery data n se*ondary data that obtained by obser ation, metering, and do*umentation. The data of en ironmental damage le el ta.en by sur ey than analyzed using s*roing method. S*oring performed on ea*h ariable of damage le els. 2ariable of en ironmental damage le el in 3uestion is mining speed, depth of ro*. e,*a ation, (ide pits, base relief differen*es e,*a ation, nature of the ro*. *limb *onstituent, slope of ro*. e,*a ation, management of top soil and o erburden, *o er of egetation, and re*lamation efforts. +ased on results of this study sho(ed that fi e mining lo*ation of group ) mining materials in 'onorogo ha e a high *ategory of en ironmental damage le el and one lo*ations ha e medium *ategory of en ironmental damage le el. Mine lo*ation 3ualifies as a moderate le el of en ironmental damage is in lo*ation III, 0grogung, Distri*t 0gebel. Mine lo*ation 3ualifies as a high le el of en ironmental damage is in lo*ation I, 'omahan, Distri*t 'ulung4 lo*ation II, Tan5ungsari, Distri*t /enangan4 lo*ation I2, 0grogung, Distri*t 0gebel4 and lo*ation 2 and 2I, 1emiri, Distri*t /enangan.
