5. Then we will come back together and compare in our data charts what we did to make butter and how butter is made in present times. 6. Then for closure I will have students think of one other item that has been around that is made differently now because of technology writing it on a piece of paper as their ticket out the door. H. Assessment: What will you use to measure student understanding? I will use the student data charts in their journals. Explain how you will know students understand the concepts from the lesson. By their data observation sheets in their journals I will be able to see if they made connections between differences. I. Closure: For closure I will have students think of one other item that has been around that is made differently now because of technology writing it on a piece of paper as their ticket out the door.

J. Reflection: 1. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest for you to teach? I feel the part online where we go over everything together will be the most effective as students will be able to follow along on the interactive smart board. 2. Which part will be most challenging for you to teach? Having students do the hands on part scares me a little for safety issues but I think it will be alright as long as I do the demonstration. 3. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? The next day we are having a quiz on the unit. Differences between making butter then and now will be asked on the quiz. 4. What can you do for students who dont grasp the concepts? I can give them the link to take an extra look at the site to get a better idea of the history of butter. 5. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change? I might need to add a little to this one or take away depending on time for the butter demonstration. 6. When you were writing this lesson plan, what was the most difficult part?

The most difficult part when writing this lesson plan was actually going to the site to see what I wanted to do before hand . 7. Explain the strategy from Integrating Language Arts & Social Studies that you included in this lesson plan The strategy is almost followed exactly like the book has it on pg. 112. I just didnt want to get to in detail on the data sheet portion due to time restraints.
