She is the new head librarian. She was the former director of Library Services at the University of Pennsylvania. Hassen: This is my first year. Hassen: Worked in Philadelphia. Hassen: Happy to work with undergraduates. Hassen: Getting to know library staff. Hassen: Has done surveys about the library. Hassen: I am anything about the library! Serious work will be done over the next few years. Massa: There are sound issues in the library; some areas need to be sound proofed. Colbert: Does not like aspects of LMC. Not a good setup. Movies cannot circulate. Colbert: Needs to make LMC more comfortable. Hassen: Would you take movies back to watch in your rooms? Serwer: Upset about limited renting period for books needed for classes. Serwer: Books can be taken on reserve, and cannot be used. Serwer: Can there be more access to ebooks? Hassen: I feel your pain.

Massa: ILLS, one can keep books until March/May. Tavel: H.L depressing space. Tavel: No outlets in H.L. Tavel: H.L is claustrophobic. Hassen: Some students like space in the stacks. Hassen: Outlet problem is known, but due to infrastructure. Rujiorachai: Space needs to be opened. Mejia-Cruz: Lighting is sterile and really bad. Cruz-Cruz: Basement of Hatch is too cold. Hassen: There will be a Hatch and Druck renovation. Architects Hassen: At Penn there was library diversity Fisher: How do we teach First year students about the library? Hassen: First year seminar professors invite librarians into the class. Fisher: Do you go into all classes? Hassen: No. Wong: Does not know the full extent of how library can help with music (ex. 12th century music) Wong: What can library do for us? Hassen: Library can help with: reports, honors thesis,citations,life long learning skills, and supporting technology use(ex. Excel, en vivo) Hassen: Wants to redesign library webpage. Nelson: Possible library scavenger hunt? Massa: Went with ODell into science library. Massa: It was a very good program. Massa: This needs to happen in humanities classes. Colbert: More education is needed about special collections. Goldberg: What is the policy for graduates? Hassen: Vendors have specific licenses. Hassen: Resources may be needed for graduate school. Hassen: Will be in touch about this.

Nelson: Please talk to club leaders about food. The laundry basket idea was disapproved. Hammocks and rocking chair idea has been popular. Nelson: New president search committee is being formed. Nelson: There will be an application and an essay. Nelson: Dean Foster will make initial cuts. Nelson: Two students will be selected(from rising Junior and Senior class). Nelson: Time and potential travelling will be involved.

Report of Members 1. Class Councils 2014 2015 Distributing Ivies gear: Glasses, Fannie packs. 2016 2017 2. Game of Thrones evening. Inter-House Council Planning event. 3. IHC helping with it. There will be a party during the day. At Ladd, they will be supporting healthy drinking habits. This will take place between 16:30 and 17:30. Distributing Ivies clothing Monday-Thursday. Finished distributing sweatshirts and ivies hats. Planning an event(still unknown what). Planning Senior Week.

Athletic Council The McKeen Center NIL Director of Programming Spring Gala is coming up. 2 new big surprises. Nelson: It will be cool. Serwer: New date for wellness day and new programs. Lima: When is the Spring Gala? Serwer: May 3rd.

At-Large New York Times is trying to sell something to Bowdoin. Old executive team will be doing work for the transition. Serwer:There is a Club Leader reception. Nelson: Please be there(May 1st 16:30). No meeting next week.
