What will you use to measure student understanding? I will measure the students understanding by reviewing their checks. Explain how you will know students understand the concepts from the lesson. I will know the students understand the concepts from the lesson by watching them fill out their practice check forms. I would also ask them randomly to verbally tell me what some of the vocabulary words mean. I. Closure: The students will stand-up, hand-up, pair-up and review their checks with one another. I will walk around the class and observe.

J. Reflection: 1. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest for you to teach? I believe the easiest pat to teach will be explaining to the students what checks are used for and why they are important. 2. Which part will be most challenging for you to teach? The most challenging part to teach will be explaining the vocabulary words to the students since some of them are almost similar to one another. 3. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? An extension to this lesson would be to have students write another check with ink this time that way I can tell who mastered the concept of writing checks. 4. What can you do for students who dont grasp the concepts? For those students who didnt grasp the concept, I would provide a real check for them and have them observe it and then write another check on their own. I would also let them take it home and work on it at home. 5. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change? I believe a professional in the banking field should come in and discuss the importance of checks and how to write a check. This would give students more excitement and they would want to learn more about the banking system. 6. When you were writing this lesson plan, what was the most difficult part? The most difficult part of writing this lesson was introducing the vocabulary words because it is hard to explain something to students that they havent used before or even seen before, especially since most of the check vocabulary words have similar concepts.
