Thisprojectwewereaskedtocreateapiechartandaparetochart.Apareto chartisjustabargraph.BelowarethetwomethodsIchosetogetourdata,Iused simplerandomandsystematicsampling. Fromourpopulationsizeof507people,wechoseourdatatobeontheexhalevalues,andmy categoryfromtherewasgoingtobegenderbased.Wegotsomedata,wherewesawthatofthe 654itwasverycloseto50/50oneachside.

FormydataIchosetocollectitusingasystematicmethod.Itookthenumberpopulation,which was507anddivideditby35,ourprofessorwantedoursamplesizetobeover35.Igotroughly 14.Ichose13togettheminimumamountrequired.Iusedarandomnumbergeneratortogeta randomnumberbetween113.IusedRandom.organdgotanumberandthenusedevery13 afterthat.

x=69.19047 ThisclasswasbyfarthemostinterestingIhavetakeninmytwoyearsatsaltlake communitycollege.Whatmadeitsointerestingwastheprobabilitiesforanythingand everything.Afewportionsoftheclassdidntseemtohavemuchofarealworldscenarioforme, butmostofthecontentdid.Ienjoyedprobabilitiesthemost,especiallyourtangentsonpoker. Thisclasshastaughtmetoreadsymbolsdifferently,Ithinkthiswillhelpinfuturemath classes.Thethingslikesigmaandotherswerekindofcooltoknowabout.Whenyoudontknow thosesymbolsandyouseethemissomemathrelatedexampleyouthinkohmygosh,thatis socomplicatedanditmustbesohard!NowthatIknowwhatthesymbolsmeanitseemsso simplenow. notperfectatitbyanymeans,butitdidhelpmebuildonthoseolderskillsIgotfromprevious mathclasses. Toendthissemester,Ithinkthatthisclasswasmyfavoritemathclass.Itjustseemedto clicktomeinthebestway.Ivealwaysbeeninterestedinthingslikechanceandprobabilities.I wouldalsoliketosaythatmyprofessorwasgreataswell.Iwillbelookingintotakingclasses withherinthefutureiftheyarerelatedtomydegree.
