Jason Markey
2014 NASSP Digital Principal of the Year
Our agency strives to bring in educational leaders st with a proven success record in leading 21 Century technology, and procuring one of only three principals in the nation to receive this prestigious honor accomplishes this. Mr. Jason Markey is principal of East Leyden High School in East Leyden, Illinois. In the last two years, Markey has presented more than 40 times on technology in education, was selected to the Google Teacher Academy, and helped create a 1:1 Summer Symposium to help other schools build a vision for technology in education.
Phil Hartley
Mr. Hartley is recognized throughout the state and region as being one of the leading authorities on the subject of legal issues in education. Educators across the state of Georgia are always anxious to hear his interpretations of the latest legislation passed, and this conference will give all participants an opportunity to be the first to get Mr. Hartleys legal issues update from the 2014 General Assembly session.
Larry Bell
Larry Bell has been the keynote speaker at many conferences across the country such as the National ASCD Conference, the National Association of Multicultural Education Conference, numerous state NEA affiliates and hundreds of local and regional conferences. For seven years, Larry Bell served as the Supervisor of Multicultural Education for Prince William County which meant providing hands-on workshops for teachers and students in 67 schools with 3000+ teachers and 50,000 students. He was selected as the Mary Hatwood Futrell Award winner by the Virginia Education Association in 1998.
Rick Lavoie
Mr. Rick Lavoies book on student motivation, The Motivation Breakthrough: 6 Secrets to Turning on the Tuned-out Child, was an international best seller. Mr. Lavoie is well known for his videos, How Difficult Can This Be? The F.A.T. City Workshop, and Last One Picked, First One Picked On: The Social Implications of Learning Disabilities as well as his book, Its So Much Work to Be Your Friend: Helping Children with Learning Disabilities. As a nationally renowned education consultant and commentator, he touches the lives of thousands of educators and tens of thousands of students each year through workshops and conferences across North America. Mr. Lavoies numerous national television appearances include The Early Show on CBS, Good Morning America, ABC Evening News, and Disney Channel Presents.
