Mothers Day Concert
Annual concert by the Warrnambool Symphony Orchestra will be held here at St Josephs next Sunday (May 11th) at 2.30pm. A program of popular favourites including Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Strauss, Vaughan Williams, Leroy Anderson & Handel. Tickets: $20 adult, $15 concession $50 Family, available from Collins Booksellers, Dale Cleves or at the door on the day. Thank You: We are most indebted to the Parish of Hamilton for their willingness to assist St Josephs while Fr John is awaiting his hip operation. We welcome Fr John Corrigan this weekend. We are grateful also for our neighbouring priests who will assist with any funerals we may have during the coming weeks. There may be the occasional time when a supply priest may not be available so to ensure that our community continues to meet for prayer (Assembly of the Word with Communion) there will be a meeting in the Church following 10.30am Mass today for Prayer Leaders. Asylum & Migration: Pamphlets available, produced by the Australian Catholic Bishops, on the long standing teachings of the Church on asylum and migration. Stations of being a Refugee: Our world is troubled and large numbers are fleeing their homelands. In the Gathering Space are drawings by Merran Koren - her desire is to create new conversations about todays crosses. Confirmation: The Sacrament will be celebrated on 19th, 20th & 21st June. Mens Retreat: St Patricks Cathedral Parish in Ballarat are hosting a retreat menALIVE, in October. This will be an opportunity for men to share their faith and review what matters most in their lives, while enjoying one anothers company.
