In The Name Of Allah The Most Beneficent Most Merciful

Praise be to Allah: we praise Him and seek His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge
with Him from the evils of our own souls and deeds. Whomever Allah (SWT) guides,
no-one can lead astray, and whoever He leaves astray, no-one can guide. I bear
witness that there is no god but Allah (SWT) Alone Who has no partner, and I bear
witness that Muhammed is His Slave and Messenger.

In The Name Of Allah The Most Beneficent Most Merciful

We have to recognise Allah's blessings of having easy access nowadays to

knowledge. One should continuously increase his knowledge and this will keep him
updated Insha'Allah.

People
According to the country one lives in, he will be meeting various people of different
belief systems. Each group has to be approached in a slighty different way but the
explanation of the Tawheed is the same.

The da'i should be firm

The da'i should be wise and kind,

"Invite (mankind, O Muhammad ) to the Way of your Lord with wisdom (i.e. with
the Divine Inspiration and the Quraan) and fair preaching, and argue with them in
a way that is best." An Nahl:125

But this does not mean that he should compromise because Allah says:
"They wish that you should compromise (in religion out of courtesy) with them: so
they (too) would compromise with you."
68: 9

No, be firm with them, don't be afraid to speak the truth. Tell them drinking is wrong
zinaa is wrong, democracy is corrupt.
The da'i can say "In Islam we live by God's laws, and think to yourself, whose
laws can be better other than God's?"
If they try to turn their backs or try to say goodbye then use this beautiful Ayat of
Allah SWT where He says:

"...If my stay and my reminding of the signs of Allah is hard on you, then I put my
trust in Allah. So, devide your plot, you and your partners, and let not your plot be
in doubt for you. Then, pass your sentence on me and give me no respite." 10:71

Likewise the da'i could say "If my stay and my reminding of the signs of Allah is
hard on you, then wait until the truth comes."

Sit not with mockers

If the one that is given dawah is continuously making fun of Allah and His Ayats the
Muslim should dismiss him and if the muslim is sitting with then he should leave
them right away, because Allah SWT says in the Qur'an:

"And it has already come down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses
of Allah [recited], they are denied [by them] and ridiculed; so do not sit with them
until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like them.
Indeed Allah will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together" 4: 140

Precautions
It is always better to give one to one dawah than a whole group.
And it's easier to answer questions and misconceptions about Islam then asking them
what is their beleif and then arguing with them on that. So the da'i could say "I am
here answering questions about Islam, if you have any questions you can ask
me"

If the da'i should meet a Muslim and finds out that he is falling short in his Fardh
deeds he should explain him how Allah SWT created us and told us He is our Rabb
and we were created to worship Him Alone and encourage him to start and keep up
with the Fardh deeds.

"And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me." 51:56
Explanation of the Tawheed
It is good and effective to exlpain the Tawheed and the Aqeeda of Muslims first then
correct their incorrect beleifs.

The da'i can say for example: "In Islam we believe that there is Only One God
and He is Only worthy of worship. And a Muslim is required to worship God
Alone without associating any partners with Him."

"He Created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them."

"He is the Lord of the East and the West."

"He can Only give and take life"

"He is the Sustainer of the Worlds"

"We believe in God's four Books (Dhebour, Torah, New Testament and the
Qur'an), His Prophets, His Angels, The Day Of Judgement and in the
Predestination (Qadr)."

"Hell Fire is True, Paradise is True"

"Whoever dies without repenting for Shirk (associating partners with Allah)
will be in Hell"

Dawah to Jews
If the da'i is talking with a person who is Jewish he should be familiar that they
believe that Allah, Aoo'dhu billah, has a son named Uzair,

"The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of
unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded
away from the Truth!" 9:30

and then explain him how it doesn't befit Allah SWT to have sons and how He is
Unique (Ahad) and there is non like Him. The da'i can quote here from the Qur'an the
verse:
"It is not befitting to (the majesty of) God that He should beget a son. Glory be to
Him! " 19:34-35
and "Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son." 4:171

where Allah SWT is in fact referring to Jesus in the Qur'an. Also the da'i can quote
Surat-ul-Ikhlas 112 in this case.

Jews also say that Aoo'dhu billah "Allah's hands are tied up"
They described Allaah as having shortcomings, and they killed the Prophets and
Messengers of Allaah, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“The Jews say: ‘Allaah’s Hand is tied up (i.e. He does not give and spend of His
Bounty).’ Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for what they uttered. Nay
both His Hands are widely outstretched. He spends (of His Bounty) as He wills” al
Maa’idah 5:64

“Indeed, Allaah has heard the statement of those (Jews) who say: ‘Truly, Allaah is
poor and we are rich!’ We shall record what they have said and their killing of the
Prophets unjustly, and We shall say: ‘Taste you the torment of the burning
(Fire).’”
Aal ‘Imraan 3:181

They distorted the word of Allaah, i.e., the Tawraat (Torah). Allaah says
(interpretation of the meaning):
“So, because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them and made their
hearts grow hard. They change the words from their (right) places”
al-Maa’idah 5:13

“Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, “This
is from Allaah,” to purchase with it a little price! Woe to them for what their hands
have written and woe to them for that they earn thereby”
They deserved the curse of Allaah, because of what Allaah has said about them
Allaah says:
“Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of
Dawood (David) and ‘Eesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they
disobeyed (Allaah and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond
bounds.
They used not to forbid one another from Al-Munkar (wrong, evildoing, sins
polytheism, disbelief) which they committed. Vile indeed was what they used to do”
al-Maa’idah 5:78-79

The lies that they have fabricated against their Prophets are many, such as the
following:

1. The Jews claimed that the Prophet of Allaah Sulayman (Solomon) was an apostate
and that he worshipped idols, as mentioned in I Kings 11:5.
2. The Jews claimed that Loot (Lot) – peace be upon him – drank wine and
committed incest with his two daughters, as mentioned in Genesis 19:30ff.
3. The Jews claimed that the Prophet of Allaah Ya’qoob (Jacob) committed theft, as
mentioned in Genesis 31:12.
4. The Jews claim that the Prophet of Allaah Dawood (David) committed adultery, as
a result of which Sulaymaan (Solomon) was born to him, as mentioned in II Samue
11:4.

The da'i can also quote from the Tawraat (Torah) that the coming of Prophet
Mohammed was mentiond there by Allah SWT

: book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12:

"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray
you: and he saith, I am not learned."
Mohammad (PBUH) received his first revelation in the cave called HIRA which is
located in Saudi Arabia, one day he was in the cave praising Almighty When Gabriel
(A.S) came to the cave and commanded Muhammad (PBUH) by saying IQRA-
"Read", he replied "I am not learned"

As Allah SWT states in the Qur'an:

"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find
mentioned in their own (scriptures) in the law and the Gospels" Al-Araf 7:157

Dawah to Christians

Christians also think that Isa (A.S) is the Aoo'dhu billah, son of God although he Isa
(A.S) was only a Prophet of Allah.

In this case the da'i can explain the Tawheed first then quote:

"It is not befitting to (the majesty of) God that He should beget a son. Glory be to
Him! " 19:34-35

and "Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son." 4:171
The da'i can say Allah means God in Arabic and type afterwards Allah instead of
God so they will not think of Isa (A.S) after the da'i has clarified he was only a
Messenger.
The da'i cay say: “Jesus, he was only a Messenger, many Messengers came and
passed before him.“
“The Messiah ['Îsa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary), was no more than a
Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him.“ 5:75
Christians also say that A'oodhu billah, God is three. Father, son and Holy Spirit.

The da'i should explain that The Holy Spirit is said to be Angel Gabriel (A.S) and
that Allah is High Above what they attribute to Him.
The da'i can also say: "Don't say God is three, God is One."

Thus speaking to them as Allah SWT speaks in the Qur'an might soften their hearts.

Say not: "three (trinity)!" Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allah is (the only) One
Ilah (god), glory be to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. 4:171
"the holy trinity is mentioned nowhere in the bible. From whom did Jesus ask
help? himself? no, he suplicated to God Alone"
Dawah to Polytheists
In this case the da'i can firstly explain the Tawheed then ask them "If there were
many gods don't you think they would fight?"
"And if they fought, wouldn't this cause great distructions?"

The da'i should also ask if they worship any statues or items so to say to him :

"Do you worship things that are created?"

"And they do not answer your call."

"And they can neither harm you or benefit you."

"If I were to take an axe and went to destroy that statue would it be able to
protect itself?"

Dawah to Pagans
These people are people that satan has played with their minds as he had done so
with the people of Saba and they were worshipping the Sun. A beleif that satan keeps
fooling more Jaaheel people into is the Wicca and its followers are called Wiccans.

In this they believe that there are, A'oodhu billah, two gods, one male and one female
and that they are responsible for the creation. Although they belive that they worship
statues and stones and marbles if you ask them, this is how astray satan the accurssed
has led them.
The da'i can say that Allah speaks about them in the Qur'an then quote this Ayat of
Allah SWT:
"They (all those who worship others than Allah) invoke nothing but female deities
besides Him (Allah), and they invoke nothing but Shaitan (Satan), a persistent
rebel!" 4:171

It is good to explain them the Tawheed. And there is a good example in the Prophet
Ibrahim (A.S) where he tells a man:

− "My Lord gives life and death"

− the man spares the lives of some prisoners and says "see? i give life and death"
− Then Ibrahim (A.S) sees how fool this man is and says "My Lord bring the Sun
from the East, can you bring it from the West?"
And the man of course was not able to do that.

Masha'Allah what a beautiful example. Likewise the da'i can say to the pagans:
"My Lord brings the Sun from the East can your gods bring it form the West?"

"Do you worship things that are created? And they do not answer your call."

"And they can neither harm you or benefit you."

"If I were to take an axe and went to destroy that marble would it be able to
protect itself?"

"Do you worship something that itself is creted?“

“Those whom they (Al-Mushrikun ) invoke besides Allah have not created
anything, but are themselves created. 16: 20

Dawah to Pantheists
Pantheism comes from two greek words. Παν which carries the meaning of
all, everything and Θεός which means God. So Pantheism carries the meaning that
everything is God or All is God and implies that everything can be worshipped and
also that everything contains some of A'oodhu billa, God. Which is untrue because
otherwise a three or a stone could be worshipped. Namely the creations is again
worshipped. In Islam we know that God is “not everywhere„ physically, He is not
inside the creation, He is not mixed with the creation, He is outside His creation and
Above it. But He is in His seeing everywhere, in His hearing everywhere in His
knowledge everywhere,
meaning He knows everything (Al-Alim).
As When Prophet Mohammed (PBUP) asked a slave girl where is Allah she said “In
the Heavens”.

Dawah to Atheists
Their situation is the most ridiculous as their sayins imply that they don't have a
reason in life. But the da'i should not ridicule them in this way and be kind to them.

The da'i can mention that there is beauty in the creation and Chaos does not result
with beauty.
or
“Do you remember creating yourself?“

“Were they created by nothing? Or were they themselves the creators?“ 52:35

Also the da'i can mention some scientific proofs from the Qur'an like the passage
where Allah SWT states the stages of a baby in the womb of his mother (23:12-14).
The hikmah (wisdom) in the mountains that they make the land firmer and more
stable against earthquakes, also mentioned in the Qur'an (“And He has set firm
mountains in the earth so that it would not shake with you...„ 16:15). The partition in
the Seas (25:53).
“He is the one who has let free the two bodies of flowing water, one sweet and
palatable, and the other salty and bitter. And He has made between them a
barrier and a forbidding partition.“ 25:53
The example with the camel, how beautiful is the creation of the camel. Allah SWT
has made on his back place to store water so it will not be thirsty at long journeys in
the desert and made its feet wide so it will not sink into the sand. Allahu Akbar!
Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 88: 17

But in fact atheists do have a “god“ they worship their desires or even A'oodhu billah
themselves with their arrogance and pride even with the physical beauty Allah SWT
has given them and proves a test against them. A failing test!

It seems hard to them to leave their corrupt doings, the haraam things, so they deny
what Allah has Revealed and His Messengers have brought (Peace be upon them
All).

“And let not those who disbelieve think they will escape. Indeed, they will not cause
failure [to Allah ]“. 8: 59
