How did you attract/address your audience?

I wanted my target audience to notice as soon as they glanced at my cover how much my masthead and my main image stood out and the style and layout of it. I tried to make them focus more on the subject of the image and the bright colours of the fonts than what the actual text content was, I made the text relatively small for the cover lines and for the main cover line I made the text large and contrasting, which made everything else seem less important such as the essential information as a magazine is bought on its cover lines not its essential information. I conducted some primary research,I gathered some qualitative and quantitative research to help me create my preliminary task magazine based on what my chosen demographics likes and interest from which I attained through my audience research, to do this I created a survey on the Survey onkey website, where all results of this research can be seen on my blog. !rom this data gathered I learned that my target audience should be between "#$%&, as they were giving me this information it made it easier to cater towards them when in the answers they provided me assisted me with the creation of the final product. I also attempted some secondary research on similar genre magazines but the search for these ended up leaving me empty handed, but what I did take from other magazines was the professional layout and some possible general topics for discussion and questions to base mine upon for the double page spread article. 's you can see in the image below I emulated (errangs main coverline style as such to create the high contrasting appearance I desired.

I considered several different aspects when constructing my magazine, I took into consideration the fact that most people who like house music also like electronic and vice versa, and the fact that there are different aspects in the subject of the music, as there is the people who like going clubbing, who just like listen to the music, and people who are more interested in the production side of the genre. )ther aspects which represent my audience is the attire of my model, for example his casual attire which is the same as other *+ and club goers alike.

,he overall content of my magazine is aimed to entertain and inform, as this form of content is the most interesting and mentally stimulating for the reader. 's I aimed it to be a casual read, which suits the reader demographic far better, as many students don-t have the time to sit down and simply reader a magazine so this is meant to be read on the go in a far less formal environment.
