[#] INFORMATIONS:
----------------------------------------------------------------
(o) General:
1. Based on the original English (International) Windows XP Professional SP3 x86
(Volume License) ISO file from Microsoft.
2. All the integrated Windows XP Updates are based on the QFE/LDR branch this me
ans that the updates have security fixes and bug fixes instead of the GDR branch
that have only security fixes (GDR Update branch = Windows XP Update Center) an
d (QFE/LDR Update branch = Manual Update.exe file installation or Service Pack i
nstallation).
3. Fully Updatable and passes all Validation Checks and no Windows XP Activation
or Crack or Key needed.
4. The installation process is Unattended with the Recovery Console and Repair o
ption, A valid WGA CD-Key and all the other user required inputs are filled in a
utomatically during the Windows XP installation.
5. Runs a little faster than a regular Windows XP because all Windows XP Update
are slipstreamed and because some outdated things have been removed (Nothing has
been removed that could cause system or software problems).
6. After the Windows XP installation a menu will appear to choose which {Optiona
l} extras to integrate. If nothing was selected after 5 minutes then the default
selected {Optional} extras are integrated.
7. All Custom Settings are also applied on new created user accounts on the firs
t account login.
(o) Important:
1. This Windows XP is not for Upgrading you must make a clean installation on a
formatted Hard disk drive or Partition.
2. Before doing a real installation it is recommended to do a test installation
with a Virtual Machine program, such as VirtualBox (http://www.virtualbox.org).
(o) For Rookies:
1. System Requirements are (Recommended/Minimum): 1200/350 MegaHertz x86 Process
or, 512/128 MegaBytes of RAM, 1024768/800x600 Video Adapter, 10/4 GigaByte of ava
ilable Hard Disk space.
2. If you can't find the drivers for your computer then try out the tools "Ma-Co
nfig" (http://www.ma-config.com) or "DriverPack Solution" (http://drpsu.com), bu
t It's recommend to download the drivers directly from the Website of the chipse
t manufacturers.
3. If you miss some default Windows XP programs then take a look in the Windows
XP Favorites folder for Weblinks to better alternative programs. Some of the def
ault Windows XP programs are removed because they have been replaced by Microsof
t a long time ago. For example the Outlook Express program was replaced years ag
o with the freely available Windows Live Mail program.
4. You can change the Windows XP CD-Key with the tool "Windows XP CD-Key Changer
vX.X.vbs" that you find in the directory "*.iso\OEM\WXPPx86BE\".
5. If you have a question or a problem then visit the Website "http://www.zone54
.com", But first make sure if you can't find the solution in 10-20 minutes on a
Web Search Engine like Google (http://www.google.com) or over the MSFN Forum Sea
rch Engine (http://www.msfn.org).
(o) Administrative:
1. For getting a list of all the Windows XP installed Updates run the DOS Comman
d Line "qfecheck" in a Command Prompt window.
2. With some scripting knowledge it is possible to integrate additional Programs
and Custom Settings by editing the files with a Text Editor in the directory "*
.iso\OEM\RunOnce\" and the also files "WINNT.SIF", "NLITE.IN_", "RUNONCE.INF" "R
OHKLM.CM_" and "ROHKCU.CM_" in the directory "*.iso\I386\" (DOS uncompress Comma
nd Line is [expand -r "FOLDER\FILE.IN_"] and DOS compress Command Line is [makec
ab "FOLDER\FILE.INF"]).
3. A full automated installation can be done by removing the ";FUI#" with a Text
Editor from the file "WINNT.SIF" in the directory "*.iso\I386\". If setting the
"Repartition" option from "No" to "Yes" then the Windows XP Setup will not only
skip the EULA agreement but will then also automatically format the main Hard D
isk Drive and install itself on a new created partition. Note when doing this ch
anges then the Recovery Console and Repair option can then no longer be accessed
anymore directly from disc.
* To modify this Windows XP open the ISO file "Windows XP Professional SP3 x86 -
Black Edition 201X.XX.XX.iso" with a Zip-Archive Program (http://www.7-zip.org)
and extract everything except the "[BOOT]" folder (if present) into an empty fo
lder and use nLite (http://www.nlite.com) to make a Bootable ISO file after the
modifications.
