Cook Time: 30 minutes Ingredients for the Cake 13 x 9 cake pan sauce pan 2 cups flour 2 cups sugar 3 1/2 tblsp of Cocoa 1 cup water 1/2 cup shortening 1 stick of butter 1/2 cup buttermilk 1 tsp baking soda 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract Baking the Cake 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Line 13 x 9 pan with thin layer of crisco and flour. 3. Pour 2 cups of flour and 2 cups of sugar into large bowl. 4. In a sauce pan add 3 1/2 tblsp of cocoa, 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup of Crisco and 1 stick of butter. Bring to a boil. Stir ingredients until combined. 5. Pour hot mixture onto bowl of flour and sugar. Mix well. 6. Add 1/2 cup of butter milk, 1 tsp of baking soda, 2 eggs and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. 7. Mix well until all ingredients are combined with no lumps. 8. Pour mixture into 13 x 9 cake pan. 9. Place into oven. Bake for 30 minutes. Ingredients for the Icing 3 1/2 tblsp Cocoa 1 stick of butter 1/3 cup of milk 1 16 oz box powdered sugar 1 tsp of vanilla extract pecans (optional) Once the cake is done baking, you may now start your icing. 1. Pour 1 box of powdered sugar into a large bowl 2. In a sauce pan put 1 stick of butter, 1/3 cup of milk, 3 1/2 tblsp cocoa and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Bring to a boil. Mix well. 3. Pour hot mixture onto powdered sugar. Mix well until blended. OPTIONAL: Add pecans and stir until completely covered. 4. Pour hot icing over cake. Cake should still be hot when you add the icing Tip If icing is too thick, use 1/4 cup of milk instead of 1/3. 20-Minute Spaghetti Prep Time: 5 min Cook Time: 15 min Ingredients 1lb lean turkey meat seasoning salt Italian seasoning garlic powder Ragu spaghetti sauce 10 oz whole wheat spaghetti (one handful) 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese Directions 1. Put 1lb lean turkey meat in sauting pan, on HIGH heat. 2. Add 2 tblsp of seasoning salt, 2 tblsp of Italian seasoning, 2 tblsp of garlic powder. 3. After meat has cooked all the way through (browned with little grease), add 2 cups of Ragu Spaghetti sauce. Stir sauce into meat until evenly dispersed. Reduce heat to LOW. 4. In a different pan, add 2 quarts of water. Bring to bowl. 5. Get spaghetti, break spaghetti in half at the middle. 6. Add spaghetti into boiling water. Boil for 9-11 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not overcook. 7. Once spaghetti is cooked, drain water. Pour drained spaghetti into meat/sauce. Stir until there is no plain spaghetti. Adjust heat to MEDIUM. Continue stirring for 5 minutes. 8. Turn off heat. Top with 1/2 cup of cheese Tip Hold spaghetti like bicycle handles while breaking in half to prevent uneven strands.
