Letter From the Engineering Pirate
Ahoy there matey! Me heard that you be puten on E-
Expo, and me thinks it’s a glorious idea! To bad not
many of ye have registered. Ye know when me and my
buddies are slow about finding treasure we make it a
little bit of a competition. Ye know me heard that
judged exhibits are part of the “Best Department
Award” Ye know me always wanted to be part of a best
department? Anywho why aren't ye all faster about reg-
istering? This “Best Department Award” sounds great,
me still trying to figure out how me can be a part of it.
So all of ye ships seem to be slow to the treasure. Lets
see here, that Mechanical ship has what 11 chests, well
ye call em “exhibits” me thinks. Wow a loot of 11 that
be grrrrreat.
Then there be that CECS ship with 9 chests, still be not
as good as that Mechanical ship. Me sure they can still
catch up though.
Then here be my concern, the Industrial ship has 5
chests. Almost half of that Mechanical ship, still me
would like to see them pull ahead, me thinks they can do
it.
Lets see here on the map next be that Chemical ship,
they only have 4 chests. Me still thinks ye can put up a
good fight for head vessel.
Now Chemical and Industrial do have a wee bit of com-
petition, Civil be not too far behind. They have 3 chests,
I see that as a neck to neck race for the treasure.
Now that leaves the Electrical ship, now they must have
started late, only 1 chest, me knows they will put up a
fight.
That leaves Bio. Me know they be the baby of the
bunch but still me have seen may a youngster take the
treasure, see no one be expecting them.
Me heard that any one who still be interested in the
treasure needs to register before the 19th.

Kersey ews
There are two ways to connect to the university network
and the Internet within the Kersey library with your
computer, by Ethernet or wireless. Ethernet is available
in all the study rooms as well as select locations
throughout the library. For a map of these locations
please see http://library.louisville.edu.kersey/services/

To use an Ethernet connection within Kersey or any U
of L library, your computer must be registered with
OLT, the Office of Libraries Technology. For details
on this go to http://library.louisville.edu/kersey/services/
laptop.html. An Ethernet cable is also required for ac-
cess. If you do not have one, a cable can be checked out
from the Kersey Circulation Desk for 2 hours. Please
do not remove cables from library computers.
Wireless access is also in Reading Room on the 2nd
floor of Kersey library. In order to use a wireless con-
nection, your computer must be registered with IT. This
will also allow you access to other university wireless
network hot spots throughout the university campus.

Engineering Expo Exhibit
Kersey will have an exhibit on display during E-Expo.
It will be on the first floor and will consist of famous
engineers, scientists, and local faculty members who are
doing research in this subject area. Books and journals
will be displayed in the glass case. Tours of the Kersey
Library will also be given from 1:00 to 4:00 on the day
of E-Expo.
