Racism

Summary
It may be defined as the hatred of one person by another because of skin color, language,
customs, place of birth, etc. and this belief determinate different traits of a particular race that is
not accepted. In this case of institutional racisms, certain racial groups may be denied rights or
benefits.
Racial discrimination
Some researchers and the university of Chicago in a 2003 study that there was widespread
discrimination in the workplace against job applicants whose names seemed as sounding black,
but the people that seemed as white sounding names were 50% less likely than others candidates,
so the researchers have these results as an evidence of unconscious biases rooted in the EEUU
long history of discrimination.
Declarations against discrimination
21 scholars signed a statement that UNESCO in 1950 suggested in the race Question to drop the
term race and instead speak of ethnic groups, it aimed both at debunking scientific racist theories
that had played a role in the holocaust. So this statement condemned racism as contrary of equal
rights.
The Negro problem and modern democracy and The Race Question influenced in the 1954
supreme court.

The groups most targeted by racism depends on where they are for example in Argentina is much
xenophobia and rejection of people of color, in Spain says a lot that the gypsies. But first world are
the people of color in the first place and secondly homosexuals

Conclusion. - even when there are people that want to eliminate the aggression physic or morality
to people that is not complete accepted, there were too people that in the past with a lot of
prejudices didnt give them opportunity to grow like a person in different types of jobs.
Recommendations. whether some people dark have won fame of thieves, doesnt mean that we
have the right to discriminate to similar skin color people, because not all people is the same, or if
we have prejudices to foreign people or cultures we are not who to think we are more than
others.
