III. FAQ
1. How to submit online application?

This section shows the applicant experience of applying for a graduate vacancy at Unilever.
When you go to the graduate website, the following screen is shown. Here you can search for
new vacancies, or login to complete an existing application.

When the applicant runs the search, a list of currently open positions is returned.

The applicant selects a position they are interested in. Brassring will then ask the applicant to
login or create a new profile. The profile will keep the details of the application so that it can be
completed in several stages.

The Applicant is then led through a sequence of screens, some of which are background
information about how to apply, as shown below; others are data capture screens where the
Applicant answers questions.

The first set of data captured is the basic contact information for the applicant, including whether
they are currently employed by Unilever. Any fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory
and must be completed before the next screen. The applicant can save the application at any
time to complete later by clicking on the Save as draft button at the bottom of the screen.

Applicants are required to have a recognised degree level or equivalent qualification. A list of
acceptable qualifications from different countries is shown. The applicant must confirm that they
have one of these or the equivalent.

You will be asked to provide details about your qualifications.

Next, they are asked about their work experience and extra-curricular activities.

Unilever may rotate you through a number of placements during the three-year programme. You
are therefore expected to be mobile and move within the country, or to different countries, as
required. You will be requested to confirm you agree to this.

The next section is the start of the screening process. Applicants are asked a number of questions:

What attracted you to apply for the Unilever Future Leaders Programme?
What attracted you to your chosen function with Unilever?
What actions have you taken to find out about Unilever and your chosen function?
Please indicate why Unilever should employ you.

The next set of screening questions asks for information on:

A time when you came up with an idea for which you had to obtain buy-in.
An example of an occasion when you have had a big issue to solve and you needed
help.
A time when you spotted an opportunity and made it happen.

The Applicant is then asked to confirm that everything is true and then submits their application.
The Applicant can only apply once to the graduate programme. If you are try and apply for the
same position, they will be blocked. If they try and apply for another UFLP position, they are told
that you can only apply once per year.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Applicants may choose to do the online test directly or postpone it. Applicant should finish their
online tests by the latest 7 days after you submit your online application (before the
closing date); If you apply on the last day of open application, you have to finish the online
application and online assessment test at the same day.

The Applicant will then receive a confirmation email detailing their application.

Please allow sufficient time for the online test to load on your browser. You will be able to
complete a practice test before the actual online test. Once you have commenced the online
test, you will need to complete it in one sitting. If you exit in middle of the test, you will not be
