US for the first time

Problem and Need
Problem:
Incoming International Students to UTD are
faced with confusing pre-semester to-do list
that is difficult to complete from abroad
Language barriers and unfamiliar civic
regulations can make getting situated
complicated for new arrivals
Services based abroad are often expensive
and not well informed
The Service
We research, assist and provide transport for:
airport pickup for immediate in person
orientation
safe temporary lodging
long term housing options
applying for driver's license, state ID
Opening a bank account
Vaccinations
City and neighborhood tours
The Market:

The number of incoming international students
at UTD increased 65% for Fall 2012

UTD International Student orientation offers
basic introduction but no personalized
services

Students are faced with hiring an organization
in their own country to make pre-
arrangements

These services are expensive and provide no
on the ground point person
