Lesson Focus: Hurdles
Equipment: 9 hurdles, 3 cones, 15 peer assessments, 15 pens, Hurdle visuals (instructional materials), computer, projector, tape
Play space needed: Leg of the track
Safety: One student in a lane at all times while hurdling. All students after they finish hurdling over the last hurdle must clear the
track.

10 min Performance:
1) The three lanes will be given a signal
to begin to clear the first hurdle.

focus on getting their lead leg knee
height or higher. The students will
complete the hurdles once with left
lead leg and once with right lead leg
to choose their preference
2) Students will go three times at a
jogging pace. The students will give

their results from the analysis
questions to the class.
