An elderly carpenter was ready to retire.

He told his
employer- contractor of
his plans to leave the house-building business and live a
more leisurely life
with his wife enjoying his extended family. He would miss
the paycheck, but he
needed to retire. They could get by.

The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and
asked if he could build
just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter
said yes, but in time it
was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He
resorted to shoddy
workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an
unfortunate way to end a
dedicated career.

When the carpenter finished his work the employer came
to inspect the house.
He handed the front-door key to the carpenter.

This is your house, he said, my gift to you.

The carpenter was shocked! What a shame!

If he had only known he was building his own,
he would have done it all so differently.

We do the most of the things having such thoughts in our
mind. But we only
realize when it comes back to us.
So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often
putting less than
our best into the building. Then with a shock we realize we
have to live in the
house that we have built. If we could do it over, we'd do it
much differently.
But we cannot go back.

You are the carpenter. Each day you hammer a nail, place
a board,
or erect a wall. Life is a do-it-yourself project, someone
has said.
Your attitudes and the choices you make today, build the
house you
live in tomorrow. Build wisely!

What we do is what we get and what we have is what we
did

devil's most 'used' instrument

It was advertised that the devil was going to put his tools
up for sale. On the date of the sale, the tools were placed
for public inspection; each tool being marked with its sale
price.

They were a treacherous lot of implements.. . Hatred,
Envy, Jealousy, Deceit, Lying, Pride, and so on.

Laid apart from the rest was a harmless looking tool, that
appeared to have been heavily used, and was priced very
high.

"What is the name of this tool?" asked one of the
purchasers, pointing to it. "That is Discouragement, "
replied the devil.

"Why have you priced it so high?"

"Because it is more useful to me than all the others. I can
pry open and get inside people's hearts with that when I
cannot get near them with my other tools. Once I get
inside, I can make them do what I choose. It is badly worn
because I use it on almost everyone, since very few people
know that it belongs to me."
Never get discouraged! Keep your head up keep the faith!

Thought 3 #
A Man was walking down a street when he heard a voice
from behind, "If you
take one more step, a brick will fall down on your head
and kill you." The
man stopped and a big brick fell right in front of him. The
man was
astonished.
He went on, and after a while he was going to cross the
road. Once again
the voice shouted, "Stop! Stand still! If you take one more
step a car will
run over you, and you will die." The man did as he was
instructed, just as
a car came careening around the corner, barely missing
him.
The man asked. "Who are you?" I am your guardian
angel," the voice
answered. "Oh, yeah?" the man asked "And where the
hell were you when I got
married?"

Everyone in the wedding ceremony was watching the
radiant bride as her
father escorted her down the aisle to give away to the
groom. They reached
the altar and the waiting groom; the bride kissed her
father and placed
some thing in his hand.
Everyone in the room was wondering what was given to
the father by the
bride. The father could feel the suspense in the air and all
eyes were on
him to divulge the secret and say something.
So he announced "Ladies and Gentlemen today is the
luckiest day of my
life."
Then he raised his hands with what his daughter gave him
and continued, "My
daughter finally returned my credit card to me. "The
whole Audience
including priest started laughing :

WAQT NAHI

Har khushi Hai Logon Ke Daman Mein,
Par Ek Hansi Ke Liye Waqt Nahi.
Din Raat Daudti Duniya Mein,
Zindagi Ke Liye Hi Waqt Nahi.

Maa Ki Loree Ka Ehsaas To Hai,
Par Maa Ko Maa Kehne Ka Waqt Nahi.
Saare Rishton Ko To Hum Maar Chuke,
Ab Unhe Dafnane Ka Bhi Waqt Nahi.

Saare Naam Mobile Mein Hain,
Par Dosti Ke Lye Waqt Nahi.
Gairon Ki Kya Baat Karen,
Jab Apno Ke Liye Hi Waqt Nahi.

Aankhon Me Hai Neend Badee,
Par Sone Ka Waqt Nahi.
Dil Hai Ghamon Se Bhara Hua,
Par Rone Ka Bhi Waqt Nahi.

Paison ki Daud Me Aise Daude,
Ki Thakne ka Bhi Waqt Nahi.
Paraye Ehsason Ki Kya Kadr Karein,
Jab Apane Sapno Ke Liye Hi Waqt Nahi.

Tu Hi Bata E Zindagi,
Iss Zindagi Ka Kya Hoga,
Ki Har Pal Marne Walon Ko,
Jeene Ke Liye Bhi Waqt Nahi.......

A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and
only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small,
desert like island. The two survivors, not knowing what
else to do, agree that they had no other recourse but to
pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more
powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them
and stay on opposite sides of the island.
The first thing they prayed for was food. The next
morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side
of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other
man's parcel of land remained barren.
After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to
pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked,
and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side
of the land. On the other side of the island, there was
nothing.
Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food.
The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him.
However, the second man still had nothing.
Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his
wife Could leave the island. In the morning, he found a
ship docked at his side of the island.
The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided
to leave the second man on the island. He considered the
other man unworthy to receive God's blessings, since none
of his prayers had been answered.
As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice
from heaven booming, "Why are you leaving your
companion on the island?"
"My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who
prayed for them," the first man answered. "His prayers
were all unanswered and so he does not deserve
anything."
"You are mistaken!" the voice rebuked him! "He had only
one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would
not have received any of my blessings."
"Tell me," the first man asked the voice, "what did he
pray for that I should owe him anything?"
"He prayed that all your prayers be answered."
For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our
prayers alone, but those of another praying for us.
This is too good not to share. With obedience come
blessings. My prayer for you today is that all your prayers
are answered. Be blessed.
What you do for others is more important than what you
do for yourself.

This was shared with me by a dear friend; I hope you will
share with your friends too.

The four blessed looks: *

Look back and thank God.
Look forward and trust God.
Look around and serve God.
Look within and find God!"

"I asked God, 'How do I get the best out of life?'

God said, 'Face your past without regrets. Handle your
present with
confidence. And prepare for the future without fear!'"

"Without God, our week is: Mournday, Tearsday,
Wasteday, Thirstday,
Fightday, Shatterday and Sinday. So, allow Him to be with
you every day!"

Life is short, so forgive quickly. Believe slowly. Love truly.
Laugh uncontrollably. Never regret anything that makes
you happy.

have it, but

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day.

I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this
morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and
an understanding God. You have done so much for me
and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for
everything I have done, said or thought that was not
pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to
start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my
mind so tha t I can hear from You.

Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no
control over. Let me continue to see sin through God's
eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me
repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and
receive the forgiveness of God.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember
your example -- to slip away and find a quiet place to
pray. It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my
limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my
heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others.
Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me
uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for
others. I pray for those who are lost and can't find their
way. I pray for those who are misjudged and
misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You
intimately. I pray for those who will delete this without
sharing it w ith others. I pray for those who don't believe.
But I thank you that I believe.

I believe that God changes people and God changes things.
I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every
family member in their households. I pray for peace, love
and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all
their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no
problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God.
Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight. I pray that
these words be received into the hearts of every eye that
sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly..

This is my prayer.

Five things that happy people follow*

**

*Faith*

**

*Whether you belong to an organized religion, or simply
believe in the power
of prayer or positive energy, several studies have
suggested that having a
spiritual belief system of some sort tends to go along with
a longer life
and fewer incidences of depression.*

**

*Plenty of Affectionate Give and Take*

**

*This can be measured in many ways, including
everything from the number of
hugs we give and receive to the giving of praise or help to
others, from
friendly interactions with the check-out clerk to a loving
exchange with a
friend on the phone.*

**

*Staying Happily Busy*

**

*People who are engaged in many pleasant hobbies and
interests have less
time to brood or be unhappy. Note, however, that
"happily busy" is not the
same as "stressed busy" or "way too busy."*

**

*Making the Best of It*

**

*Life is not always the proverbial bed of roses. So when it
hands you a
lemon, do you get sour or do you make lemonade? Trying
to maintain a
positive attitude in the face of adversity is a great indicator
of
happiness. When we ask "What am I meant to learn from
this?" Rather than
"Why me?" we're halfway there.*

**

*A Sense of Purpose*

**

*When we believe we are here for a reason that our lives
have*

*Purpose and meaning, we are more apt to be happy. It is
a hallmark of real
joy to know what your passions are, and to pursue them.*

We may not always realize
that every thing we do,
affects not only our lives,
but touches others, too.

For a little bit of thoughtfulness
that shows someone you care,
creates a ray of sunshine
for both of you to share.

Yes, every time you offer
someone a helping hand,
you show a friend,
you care and understand.

Every time you have
a kind and gentle word to give,
you help someone find beauty
in this precious life we live.

For happiness brings happiness
and loving ways bring love,
and giving is the treasure
that contentment is made of.

Thank you!

Joy Where There is Nothing When you can find joy where
there is nothing,
You can find joy in anything.
Place no conditions on happiness,
And it is always yours.

Embrace the uncertainty of the future,
For within that uncertainty is limitless,
Fertile ground for creating beauty, joy and fulfillment.
When you no longer need security, you will indeed have it.

Accept that you do not know,
And there is no limit to what you can learn.
Let go of the need to possess,
And there is no end to what you can have.

There is a universe filled with beauty
In each tiny grain of sand.
There is a lifetime of experience
In every small moment of the day.

Be true to your purpose and fulfillment will find you.
With what you have to give,
You can reach all you could ever imagine to seek.

See the joy where there is nothing,
And everywhere else as well.
Live the beauty that is now,
And truly know the abundant richness that is life.

During your lifetime, you'll eat about 60,000 pounds of
food, that's the weight of about 6 elephants!

Some ribbon worms will eat themselves if they cant find
any food!

Dolphins sleep with one eye open!

The worlds oldest piece of chewing gum is over 9000 years
old!

In space, astronauts cannot cry properly, because there is
no gravity, so the tears can't flow down their faces!

There are more plastic flamingos in the U.S, than real
ones!

About 3000 years ago, most Egyptians died by the time
they were 30!

More people use blue toothbrushes, than red ones!

A sneeze travels out your mouth at over 100 m.p.h.!

Your ribs move about 5 million times a year, every time
you breathe!

In the White House, there are 13,092 knives, forks and
spoons!

Slugs have 4 noses!

Recycling one glass jar, saves enough energy to watch T.V
for 3 hours!

Lightning strikes about 6,000 times per minute on this
planet!

Owls are one of the only birds who can see the color blue!

The greatest pain in life is not to die, but to be ignored.

To lose the person you love so much to another who
doesn't care at all.

To have someone you care so about so much throw a
party...
and not tell you about it.

When your favorite person on earth neglects to invite you
to his graduation.

To have people think that you don't care.

The greatest pain in life, is not to die, but to be forgotten.

To be left in the dust after another's great achievement.

To never get a call from a friend, just saying "hi".

When you show someone your innermost thoughts and
they laugh in your face.

For friends to always be too busy to console you when you
need someone to lift your spirits.

When it seems like the only person who cares about you, is
you.

Life is full of pain, but does it ever get better?

Will people ever care about each other, and make time for
those who are in need?

Each of us has a part to play in this great show we call life.

Each of us has a duty to mankind to tell our friends we
love them.

If you do not care about your friends you will not be
punished.

You will simply be ignored...

forgotten...

as you have done to others.

My mother used to ask me: "What is the most important
part of the body?"
Through the years I would take a guess at what I thought
was the correct answer. When I was younger, I thought
sound was very important to us as humans, so I said, "My
ears, Mommy."
Mother said, "No Many people are deaf. But you keep
thinking about it and I will ask you again soon."
Several years passed before she asked me again. Since
making my first attempt, I had contemplated the correct
answer. So this time I told her, "Mommy, sight is very
important to everybody, so it must be our eyes."
Mother looked at me and told me, "You are learning fast,
but the answer is not correct because there are many
people who are blind."

Stumped again, I continued my quest for knowledge. Over
the years, Mother asked me a couple more times and
always her answer was, "No, but you are getting smarter
every year, my child."
Then last year, my grandpa died. Everybody was hurt.
Everybody was crying. Even my father cried. I remember
that especially because it was only the second time I saw
him cry. My Mom looked at me when it was our turn to
say our final good-bye to Grandpa.
Mother asked me, "Do you know the most important body
part yet, my dear?"

I was shocked when she asked me this now. I always
thought this was a game between her and me. Mother saw
the confusion on my face and told me, "This question is
very important. It shows that you have really lived in your
life. For every body part you gave me in the past, I have
told you was wrong and I have given you an example why.
But today is the day you need to learn this important
lesson."
Mother looked down at me as only a mother can. I saw her
eyes well up with tears. Mother said, "My dear, the most
important body part is your shoulder."
I asked, "Is it because it holds up my head?"
Mother replied, "No, it is because it can hold the head of a
friend or a loved one when they cry. Everybody needs a
shoulder to cry on sometime in life, my dear. I only hope
that you have enough love and friends that you will always
have a shoulder to cry on when you need it."
Then and there I knew the most important body part is
not a selfish one. It is sympathetic to the pain of others.
People will forget what you said... People will forget what
you did.... But people will NEVER forget how you made
them feel.
True or not, the story makes you stop and think. Be
blessed. Be a blessing. Get your shoulder ready.

A story about a small candle carried by a man who was
climbing the stairs of a lighthouse. In their way up to the
top, the candle asked the man, "Where are we going?"

"We"re going to the top of this lighthouse and give signals
to the big ships on the ocean," the man answered.

"What? How could it be possible for me with my small
light to give signals to those big ships?"
"They will never be able to see my light", replied the
candle weakly.

"That"s your part. If your light is small, let it be. All you
have to do is keep burning and leave the rest to me", said
the man.

A little later, they arrived at the top of the lighthouse
where there was a big lamp with a loop behind it. Then the
man lit the lamp with the light of the candle and instantly,
the place shone so brightly that the ships on the ocean
could see its light.

With our being and our limitations, we"re hardly able to
do any meaningful things. Yet, one thing we should bear in
mind is that our life is like a small candle in God"s
powerful hand. All our abilities and expertise will remain
as a small light if we don"t put our life in God"s hand. On
the contrary, even if our light is so small or dim, if we
entrust all our life to God, he is able to make our small
light into a big one that brings blessings to many people.

Do not look at your inability, limitations, and weaknesses.
God entrust you with something. Have faith that you are
in His mighty hand that He will use you according to His
will. When we put all our trust in Him, we will see how He
uses our lives, including our limitations, to be blessings to
others.

The story is told of a king who owned a valuable diamond,
one of therarest and most perfect in the world.

One day the diamond fell and adeep scratch marred its
face. The king summoned the best diamond experts in the
land to correct the blemish, but they all agreed they could
not remove the scratch without cutting away a good part
of the surface, thusreducing the weight and value of the
diamond.

Finally one expert appeared and assured him that he
could fix the diamond without reducing its value. His
confidence was convincing and the king gave the diamond
to the man. In a few days, the artisanreturned the
diamond to the king, who was amazed to find that the
uglyscratch was gone, and in its place a beautiful rose was
etched. The former scratch had become the stem of an
exquisite flower!

God can turn the "scratches" on our souls into something
beautiful.

Sand and Stone

A story tells that two friends were walking through
the desert. During some point of the journey, they
had an argument, and one friend slapped the other
one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt,
but without saying anything, he wrote in the sand:

Today my best friend slapped me in the face.

They kept on walking, until they found an oasis,
where they decided to take a bath. The one who had
been slapped got stuck in the mire and started
drowning, but his friend saved him. After he
recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:

Today my best friend saved my life.

The friend, who had slapped and saved his best
friend, asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in
the sand, and now, you write on a stone, why?"

The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us,
we should write it down in sand, where the winds of
forgiveness can erase it away, but when someone
does something good for us, we must engrave it in
stone where no wind can ever erase it.

Learn to write your hurts in the sand and to carve
your blessings in stone.

Be Blessed.

How smart is Your Right Foot ?
Just try this. It is from an orthopedic surgeon............
This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over
and over again to
see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't. It's
preprogrammed in
your brain!

1. WITHOUT anyone watching you (they will think you
are GOOFY......) and
while sitting where you are at your desk in front of your
computer, lift
your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air
with your right
hand.
Your foot will change direction. (If it doesn't you have a
neurological
problem)!

I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it!
You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is
done you are
going to try it again, if you've not already done so.

* Only thing that comes to you without effort is old age.

* You won't get a second chance to make the first
impression.

* Only those who do nothing do not make mistakes.

* Never take a problem to your boss unless you have a
solution.

* If you are not failing you're not taking enough risks.

* Don't try to get rid of bad temper by losing it.

* If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

* Those who don't make mistakes usually don't make
anything

* There are two kinds of failures. Those who think and
never do, and those who do and never think.

* Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win.

* All progress has resulted from unpopular decisions.

* Change your thoughts and you change your world.

* Understanding proves intelligence, not the speed of the

There are some landmarks in ones life that are of utmost
importance - the first day of school, turning ten years old
(imagine being a whole decade old!), graduating from
school, and finally, turning eighteen. The words eighteenth
birthday have some sort of magical effect on most
teenagers. It means the transition from the wonder years
of teenhood, to the exciting years of adulthood. Whats so
special about eighteen, you ask. Its just another birthday,
after all. Well, let me tell you some of the things eighteen
stands for : It stands for being able to drive. It means not
having to ask everyday, "What time can you pick me
up?"; it means not being at the receiving end of the whims
and vagaries of the sullen autodrivers, who know where
they want to go, and get quite upset when you want to go
in the other direction; it means not standing on one foot,
and looking desperately for light and air in a bus that
contains just about as many people as Australia does! No,
it means freedom. Eighteen means being old enough to
drive, and finally being in control. It stands for becoming
a person - someone of importance, and no longer just a
kid. Being eighteen means being able to vote. Of course,
now the question arises - do we really want to vote? Voting
means being, to some extent, responsible for whoever is up
there in Delhi, creating chaos. Up until now, we could look
upon the shenanigans at the Centre and States with a
smug smile and say, "We didnt vote for them. Were not
responsible for what you unthinking adults do!" Eighteen
means being given your own set of keys to the front door
of the house. This means that you are now officially an
adult, able to come and go as you please. Of course, that
still doesnt mean your parents wont wait up for you and
chew you out for coming home late, but then, becoming an
adult has nothing to do with being scolded by your
parents. You could be seventy going on seventy - one, with
dentures in your mouth, and a misplaced pair of bifocals
somewhere, and your parents would still be telling you off
for going out without a sweater, or skipping lunch! But if
eighteen means parties and celebrations, drivers licenses,
and the right to swagger into the local pub, it also means
responsibility and adulthood. It means being in charge,
and in control, but sometimes it seems so much easier to
let someone else, like your parents, do all the leading.
Sometimes its so much easier to let someone else make all
the decisions , and take all the accountability for them. It
means that from now onwards, youre going to be treated
equally with everyone else - there are going to be no more
special considerations, as in the case of a child. Turning
eighteen has a very special significance in everyones life.
Its interesting, its eventful, its exciting, and its more
than a little intimidating.

You can feel their love covering you
like a blanket of togetherness and passion
Their presence is always with you

You can be each others umbrella
together avoiding things that are amiss

Hand in hand you continue to travel along

The two of you within a friendship there
however crooked or steep you find the road

Casting all your cares upon the creator

accepting His guidance all the way
You shall reach the designated goal
enjoying His blessings day after day

EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE IF YOU BELIEVE

Don't be afraid of living.
Your belief that life is worth living
will help you create the fact around you.

There are no real barriers to your success.
You must overcome any doubts you have about your
ability.
Your self image prescribes the limits for your
accomplishments.
It prescribes the area of what is possible for you.

If you see yourself as prosperous, you will be.
If you see yourself as continually hard up,
that's precisely what you will be.

You can never succeed until you believe you can succeed.

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding
up a $500/-
Note. In the room of 200,

He asked, " Who would like this 500 note?" Hands
Started going up.

He said, " I am going to give this note to one of you
But first let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the note
up.

He then asked, " Who still wants it?" Still the hands were
up in the air.
"Well," he replied, " What if I do this?" And he dropped
it on the ground

And started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He
picked it up,
Now all crumpled and dirty. " Now who still wants it?"
Still the hands

Went into the air. " My friends, you have all learned a
very valuable
Lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still
wanted it because it

Did not decrease in value. It was still worth $ 500/-. Many
times in
Our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house
along with his 45 year old highly educated son. Suddenly a
crow perched on their window.
The Father asked his Son, "What is this?" The Son
replied "It is a crow".
After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd
time, "What is this?"
The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a
crow".
After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the
3rd time, What is this?"
At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the
Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. "It's a
crow, a crow".
A little after, the Father again asked his Son t he 4th time,
"What is this?"
This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you
keep asking me the same question again and again,
although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'.
Are you not able to understand this?"
A little later the Father went to his room and came back
with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since
his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to
read that page. When the son read it, the following words
were written in the diary
"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the
sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son
asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23
times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time
h e asked me the same question again and again for 23
times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection
for my innocent child".
While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this",
the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same
question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his
Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated
and annoyed.
So, If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or
look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious
word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be
considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud, "I
want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared
for me ever since I was a little child. They have always
showered their selfless love on me. They crossed all
mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat
to make me a person presentable in the society today".

Say a prayer to God, "I will serve my old parents in the
BEST way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear
parents, no matter how they behave."

Be Blessed.Beloved Father loves you loadss...

As you got up this morning, I watched you, and hoped you
would talk to Me, even if it was just a few words, asking
My opinion or thanking Me for something good that
happened in your life yesterday. But I noticed you were
too busy, trying to find the right outfit to wear.

When you ran around the house getting ready, I knew
there would be a few minutes for you to stop and say hello,
but you were too busy. At one point you had to wait fifteen
minutes with nothing to do except sit in a chair. Then I
saw you spring to your feet.

I thought you wanted to talk to Me, but you ran to the
phone and called a friend to get the latest gossip instead. I
watched patiently all day long. With all your activities I
guess you were too busy to say anything to Me. I noticed
that before lunch you looked around, maybe you felt
embarrassed to talk to me, that is why you did not bow
your head.

You glanced three or four tables over and you noticed
some of your friends talking to Me briefly before they ate,
but you did not. That is okay... There is still more time
left, and I hope that you will talk to Me yet. You went
home and it seems as if you had lots of things to do.

After a few of them were done, you turned on the TV. I do
not know if you like TV or not, just about anything goes
there and you spend a lot of time each day in front of it not
thinking about anything, just enjoying the show. I waited
patiently again as you watched the TV and ate your meal,
but again you did not talk to Me.

Bedtime- I guess you felt too tired. After you said
goodnight to your family you plopped into bed and fell
asleep in no time. That is okay because you may not
realize that I Am always there for you.. I have got
patience, more than you will ever know. I even want to
teach you how to be patient with others as well.

I love you so much that I wait everyday for a nod, a prayer
or thought, or a thankful part of your heart. It is hard to
have a one-sided conversation. Well, you are getting up
once again. Once again I will wait, with nothing but love
for you. Hoping that today you will give Me some time.

Have a nice day! Your friend, GOD

Be Blessed.

The Winning Game

============ =====

On a hot, sunny afternoon, a small boy stepped up to bat.

The crowd watched like hawks for his move, waiting for
the

sought-after home run that most likely wasn't to be.

After all, these kids were five and six years old, much too

little to stroke a ball past the pitcher, if at all.

The little guy's determination showed in his stance: gritted

teeth, slightly bulging eyes, hat-clad head bobbing slightly,

feet apart, hands with a death grip on the bat.

In front of him was a small softball, sitting perched like a

parrot on a lone tee, awaiting the six swings that the batter

was allowed.

Strike one.

"Come on, you can do it!" came a solitary voice out of the

bleachers.

Strike two.

"Go for it, Son!" the proud father yelled encouragingly.

Strike three.

"Go, go, go..." the crowd joined in.

Strike four.

"You can do it!" just the father and a couple of viewers

crooned, others losing interest and turning to bleacher

conversations.

"YOU CAN DO IT!" And suddenly bat hit ball, amazing
the crowd

and the little boy, who stood rock still, watching it travel

slowly past the pitcher on its way to second base.

"Run!"

The stands rumbled with stomping feet. "Run, run!"

The little boy's head jerked ever so slightly and he took off

toward third base.

"No," the crowd yelled.

"The other way."

With a slight cast of his head toward the bleachers, the
boy

turned back toward home.

"NO!" My son, the umpire, waved him toward first base.

The kids on both teams pointed the way. The crowd
continued to

cheer him on. Confused, he ran back to third.

Then following the third baseman's frantic directions, he

finally ran toward first base but stopped triumphantly on
the

pitcher's mound. The pitcher moved back, not sure what
to do

next.

The crowd stood, shaking the bleachers with the
momentum.

All arms waved toward first base. And with no thought for
his

position, the first baseman dropped his ball and ran
toward the

pitcher.

"Come on," he yelled, grabbing the hand of the errant
batter,

and tugged him toward first base while the crowd
screamed its

approval.

The ball lay forgotten as a triumphant twosome hugged
each other

on the piece of square plastic that marked the spot where
lives

are forever shaped.

No one will remember the score of that summer afternoon
game.

Two little boys, running hand in hand, toward a goal that
only

one should have reached.

Both came out winners.

In fact, there wasn't a loser in the stands or on the field
that

summer day, and that's a lesson none of us should ever
forget.

Winning is more than being number one.

Winning is helping another when the chips are down.

It's remembering to love one another.

be blessed.beloved Father loves you loadss...

One day a woman's husband died, and on that clear, cold
morning, in the
warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the
pain of learning that
sometimes there isn't anymore. No more hugs, no more
special moments to
celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no
more "just one
minute." Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all
used up and goes
away, never to return before we can say good-bye, or say
"I love you."

So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it, fix it
when it's
broken and heal it when it's sick. This is true for marriage
.... and old
cars ... and children with bad report cards, and dogs with
bad hips, and
aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because
they are worth it,
because we are worth it.

Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away
or a classmate we
grew up with. There are just some things that make us
happy, no matter what.

Life is important, like people we know who are special.
And so, we keep them
close!

I received this from someone who thought I was a
'keeper'! Then I sent it to
the people I think of in the same way. Now it's your turn
to send this to
all those people who are "keepers" in your life. Suppose
one morning you
never wake up, do all your friends know you love them?

I was thinking... I could die today, tomorrow or next week,
and I wondered
if I had any wounds needing to be healed, friendships that
needed rekindling or three words needing to be said.

Let every one of your friends know you love them. Even if
you think they
don't love you back, you would be amazed at what those
three little words
and a smile can do.

And just in case GOD calls me home .
I LOVE YA!!!

Live today to the fullest because tomorrow is not promised

God determines who walks into your life...it's up to you to
decide who you
let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let
go.

A BEAUTIFUL HEART

The more hurt and pain you have gone thru in life, the
stronger and more
beautiful your heart will be.....
One day a young man was standing in the middle of the
town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in
the whole valley.
A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for
it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it. Yes,
they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they
had ever seen. The young man was very proud and
boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart.
Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of the crowd
and said, "Why your heart is not nearly as beautiful as
mine." The crowd and the young man looked at the old
man's heart. It was beating strongly, but full of scars, it
had places where pieces had been removed and other
pieces put in, but they didn't fit quite right and there were
several jagged edges. In fact, in some places there were
deep gouges where whole pieces missing.
The people stared. How can he say his heart is more
beautiful?? they thought. The young man looked at the old
man's heart and saw its state and laughed. "You must be
joking," he said. "Compare your heart with mine, mine is
perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears."
"Yes," said the old man, "Yours is perfect looking but I
would never trade with you. You see, every scar
represents a person to whom I have given my love - I tear
out a piece of my heart and give it to them, and often they
give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty
place in my heart, but because the pieces aren't exact, I
have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they
remind me of the love we shared. Sometimes I have given
pieces of my heart away, and the other person hasn't
returned a piece of his heart to me. These are the empty
gouges - giving love is taking a chance. Although these
gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the
love I have for these people too, and I hope someday they
may return and fill the space I have waiting. So now do
you see what true beauty is?"
The young man stood silently with tears running down his
cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his
perfect young and beautiful heart, and ripped a piece out.
He offered it to the old man with trembling hands.
The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and
then took a piece from his old scarred heart and placed it
in the wound in the young man's heart. It fit, but not
perfectly, as there were some jagged edges.
The young man looked at his heart, not perfect anymore
but more beautiful than ever, since love from the old
man's heart flowed into his.
They embraced and walked away side by side.

hour to like someone, and a day to love someone but it
takes a lifetime to forget someone.

* Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth;
even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you
smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day
seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

* Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to
go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life
and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

* May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,
enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep
you human, enough hope to make you happy.

* Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it
hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.

* The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of
everything; they just make the most of everything that
comes along their way.

* Happiness lies ahead for those who cry, those who hurt,
those who have searched, and those who have tried, for
only they can appreciate the importance of people who
have touched their lives.

* The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten
past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your
past failures and heartaches.

* When you were born, you were crying and everyone
around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you
die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around
you is crying.

* Remember that some of the world's nicest joys are its
most special people and that you are one of them.

* Imagine what the view will look like when you get where
you're going.

* When you've been working too hard, give your batteries
time to recharge.

* One day you will see that it all has finally come together.
What you have always wished for has finally come to be.
You will look back and laugh at what has passed and you
will ask yourself, "How did I get through all of that?" Just
never let go of hope. Just never quit dreaming. And never
let love depart from your life.

A long time ago, a young, wealthy girl was getting ready
for bed. She was saying her prayers when she heard a
muffled crying coming through her window. A little
frightened, she went over to the window and leaned out.
Another girl, who seemed to be about her age and
homeless was standing in the alley by the rich girls house.
Her heart went out to the homeless girl, for it was the dead
of winter, and the girl had no blanket, only old
newspapers someone had thrown out.
The rich girl was suddenly struck with a brilliant idea. She
called to the other girl and said, "You there, come to my
front door, please."

The homeless girl was so startled she could only manage to
nod.

As quick as her legs could take her, the young girl ran
down the hall to her mothers closet, and picked out an old
quilt and a beat up pillow. She had to walk slower down to
the front door as to not trip over the quilt which was
hanging down, but she made it eventually. Dropping both
the articles, she opened the door. Standing there was the
homeless girl, looking quite scared. The rich girl smiled
warmly and handed both articles to the other girl. Her
smile grew wider as she watched the true amazement and
happiness alight upon the other girl's face. She went to
bed incredibly satisfied.

In mid-morning the next day a knock came to the door.
The rich girl flew to the door hoping that it was the other
little girl there. She opened the large door and looked
outside. It was the other little girl. Her face looked happy,
and she smiled. "I suppose you want these back."

The rich little girl opened her mouth to say that she could
keep them when another idea popped into her head. "No, I
want them back."

The homeless girl's face fell. This was obviously not the
answer she had hoped for. She reluctantly laid down the
beat up things, and turned to leave when the rich girl
yelled, "Wait! Stay right there." She turned in time to see
the rich girl running up the stairs and down a long
corridor. Deciding whatever the rich little girl was doing
wasn't worth waiting for she started to turn around and
walk away. As her foot hit the first step, she felt someone
tap her on the shoulder, turning she saw the rich little girl,
thrusting a new blanket and pillow at her. "Have these."
she said quietly.

These were her own personal belonging made of silk and
down feathers.

As the two grew older they didn't see each other much, but
they were never far from each other's minds. One day, the
Rich girl, who was now a Rich woman got a telephone call
from someone. A lawyer, saying that she was requested to
see him. When she arrived at the office, he told her what
had happened. Forty years ago, when she was nine years
old, she had helped a little girl in need. That grew into a
middle-class woman with a husband and two children. She
had recently died and left something for her in her will.
"Though," the lawyer said, "it's the most peculiar thing.
She left you a pillow and a blanket."

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a
lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know
what to do for that person. When someone is in your life
for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have
expressed. They have come to assist you through a
difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to
aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may
seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the
reason you need them to be. Then, without any
wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this
person will say or do something to bring the relationship
to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What
we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire
fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has
been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because
your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring
you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may
teach you something you have never done. They usually
give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is
real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things
you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional
foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the
person and put what you have learned to use in all other
relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is
blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a
reason, a season or a lifetime.

One minute makes a difference
When running for the train.
One car will change your day
If you're in a crowded lane.

One sentence works a wonder,
If it's needed to be heard.
One deed brings a person light,
As does one kindly word.

One meal is often missed,
One crime means doing time,
One shoe is always searched for,
As is, at times, one dime.

But the greatest One of all,
Be it parent, teacher, friend,
Is the one with you when you're down;
Beside you to the end

There was a millionaire who was bothered by severe eye
pain.

He consulted so many physicians and was getting his
treatment done. He did not stop consulting galaxy of
medical experts; he consumed heavy loads of drugs and
underwent hundreds of injections.

But the ache persisted with great vigour than before. At
last a monk who has supposed to be an expert in treating
such patients was called for by the millionaire.

The monk understood his problem and said that for
sometime he should
concentrate only on green colours and not to fall his eyes
on any other
colours.

The millionaire got together a group of painters and
purchased barrels of
green color and directed that every object his eye was
likely to fall
to be painted in green colour just as the monk had
directed.

When the monk came to visit him after few days, the
millionaire' s servants ran with buckets of green paints
and poured on him
since he was in red dress, lest their master not see any
other colour and
his eye ache would come back.

Hearing this monk laughed said "If only you had
purchased a pair of green
spectacles, worth just a few rupees, you could have saved
these walls
and trees and pots and all other articles and also could
have saved a large
share of his fortune.

You cannot paint the world green." Let us change our
vision and the world
will appear accordingly. It is foolish to shape the world, let
us shape
ourselves first.

Lets change our vision..!!

A woman repeated a bit of gossip about a neighbor.
Within a few days the
whole community knew the story.

The person it concerned was deeply hurt and offended.

Later the woman responsible for spreading the rumor
learned that it was
completely untrue.

She was very sorry and went to a wise old sage to find out
what she could do to repair the damage.

" Go to the marketplace, " he said, "and purchase a
chicken, and have it
killed. Then on your way home, pluck its feathers and
drop them one by one along the road."

Although surprised by this advice, the woman did what
she was told.

The next day the wise man said, "Now go and collect all
those feathers you
dropped yesterday and bring them back to me."

The woman followed the same road, but to her dismay, the
wind had blown the feathers all away. After searching for
hours, she returned with only three in her hand.

" You see," said the old sage, "it's easy to drop them, but
it's impossible
to get them back.

So it is with gossip. It doesn't take much to spread a
rumor, but once you
do, you can never completely undo the wrong.

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age,
weight and height.Let the doctors worry about them. That
is why you pay "them!"
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you
down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts,
gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. "An idle
mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is
Alzheimer's.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for
breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The
only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be
ALIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's
family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.
Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is
unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve,
get help.
9 Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the
next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the
guilt is.
10. Tell the people that you love them, at every
opportunity.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our

Horror gripped the heart of a World War-I soldier, as
he saw his lifelong friend fall in battle. The soldier
asked his Lieutenant if he could go out to bring his
fallen comrade back.

"You can go," said the Lieutenant," but don't think it
will be worth it.

Your friend is probably dead and you may throw your
life away."

"The Lieutenant's words didn't matter, and the soldier
went anyway.

Miraculously, he managed to reach his friend, hoisted
him onto his shoulder and brought him back to their
company's trench. The officer checked the wounded
soldier, then looked kindly at his friend.

"I told you it wouldn't be worth it," he said. "Your
friend is dead and you are mortally wounded."

"It was worth it, Sir," said the soldier.

"What do you mean by worth it?" responded the
Lieutenant. "Your friend is dead."

"Yes Sir," the soldier answered, "but it was worth it
because when I got to him, he was still alive and I
had the satisfaction of hearing him say...
" Jim...I knew you'd come."

There was a hunter who bought an amazing bird dog. This
one-of-a-kind dog could walk on water. The hunter was
looking forward to showing off his new acquisition to his
friends. He invited a friend to go duck hunting. After some
time, they shot a few ducks and the man ordered his dog
to fetch the birds. All day long, whenever there were birds
to be fetched, the dog ran on water to retrieve the birds.
The owner was expecting his friend to comment or
compliment him about this amazing dog, but never got
one. As they were returning home, he asked his friend if
he had noticed anything unusual about his dog. The friend
replied, Yes, in fact, I did notice something unusual.
Your dog cant swim.

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the
home of a wealthy family.

The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in
the mansion's guest room. Instead the angels were given a
space in the cold basement.

As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel
saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger
angel asked why, the older angel replied... " Things aren't
always what they seem".

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very
poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife.

After sharing what little food they had the couple let the
angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good
night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the
angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only
cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in
the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older
angel "how could you have let this happen!? The first man
had everything, yet you helped him," she accused. "The
second family had little but was willing to share
everything, and you let their cow die."

"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel
replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion,
I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall.

Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling
to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't
find it. Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the
angel of death came for his wife. I gave her the cow
instead. Things aren't always what they seem."

Sometimes this is exactly what happens when things don't
turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just
need to trust that every outcome is always to your
advantage. You might not know it until some time later.

ULTIMATE TRUTHS

Whenever I find the key to success, someone changes the

Everyone has a scheme of getting rich.. which never
works.

If at first you don't succeed. Destroy all evidence that
you ever tried.
