VISION STATEMENT
We envision being a church that reaches the poor, needy, homeless, the drug-
addicts, the divorced, the educated, and the affluent in our city with Gospel of
Christ through the evangelistic efforts of our body.

We envision a church that's known in the community for its benevolent, loving
generosity. We will help those who are truly poor and needy by providing for their
needs as much as possible. We also will provide well for the ministry needs of our
people and the livelihood of our staff.

We envision being a church that equips every believer for the ministry of
evangelism through classroom instruction, coaching, and field experience.

We envision being a church that partners with and gives financially to other
ministries and churches that are working to reach others in the name of Christ.

We envision being a church that provides prayer filled healing to the sick, hurting,
and lost in our community.

CCIS APPROACH TO
DISCIPLESHIP
One of City Churchs main ministry goals is helping their
members and prospective members to get off their addictions,
and to help them stay out of prison.
They are still working on setting up a discipleship mechanism
The church leaders also participate in one on one mentor
relationships with some of the members
For example there is a young man named Jason who is being
taken through the Navigators program by one of the leaders in
the church
ASSESSMENT

City Church International is a young and growing
church
Their primary ministries take care of all the
characteristics of a mature believer
City Churchs secondary ministries mostly focus
on bringing different segments of the church
together (e.g., men, women, and youth)
Now would be a good time for them to focus all of
their ministries and tie them together in order to
have a more effective disciple-maturing process
SUGGESTIONS

It seems that City Church has not really given
much attention to a disciple-maturing process.
They do emphasize the essential characteristics of
a mature disciple
The main thing they are lacking is a clearly
defined pathway toward Christian maturity
