How to get motivated when going gets tough with OCD
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is an illness which brings wit h it , unimaginable suf f erings. Wit h
cont inuous bat t ling, somet imes you are t ired, f rust rat ed. Here you need some mot ivat ion t o keep
going, So t hese are some t ips t o get mot ivat ed when going get s t ough wit h OCD.
1. You are not alone :
you are not alone
yes, you are not t he f irst person t o suf f er f rom OCD. since ages, many lives suf f ered f rom OCD, not
knowing t he causes and t reat ment t o get rid of t he disorder. Even t oday also, huge number of
people are suf f ering f rom OCD and living wit h it not knowing it s ident it y. So whet her you know t hem
or not , you are part of a great army f ight ing against OCD.
You can gain f rom t heir experience, share your suf f erings by part icipat ing in OCD communit ies,
groups and f orums. Believe it you are not alone.
2. OCD can be cured :

Remember,
every problem has a beginning and an end.
no problem is permanent . At one or t he ot her t ime,
it has t o yield or abandon you. Dont lose hope.
5. Avoid self pity :
when you are surrounded by dif f icult ies and suf f erings, you are easily vulnerable t o self pit y.
If you have t hese f eelings, You may be suf f ering f rom self pit y.
I am f acing lot of t roubles t han ot hers.
Everyone is happy except me.
I have t he worst luck.
Lif e is unf air.
self pit y gradually sabot ages your self est eem and conf idence. so t ry t o avoid self pit y.
6. You are stronger than you think :

dont know how capable t hey
are, how st rong t hey are,
how int elligent t hey are.
Many of us are living in
imaginary boundaries,
rest rict ions, f alse
assumpt ions creat ed by our
own selves. Really you do not
know what you are ! you
believe you are very weak. if
you had t o f ace mult iple
dif f icult ies at a t ime,
immediat ely you lose your
courage, you f eel depressed,
wit h t ears in eyes you begin
blaming GOD or any ot her
person.
But t he t rut h is, you are much
st ronger t han what you t hink
you are. The reason behind
our ignorance is we never
t est our abilit y. we never t ry
t o f ind how f ar we can go. we
are sat isf ied wit h our
comf ort zone and we dont
want t o come out of it .
In OCD also, while suf f ering
f rom obsessions and
compulsions, you believe you
are very weak, you are mere
puppet in t he hands of f at e,
you have no choice except
perf orming t he rit uals. But
believe me, you are st ronger t han you t hink. I cert ainly agree overcoming OCD is not so easy, but you
can do it have f ait h.
7. learn from achievers :
Here achievers mean t hose who conquered t heir OCD.
t here are number of achievers st ories available online. If you read t hem, you can gain t he knowledge,
t echniques, st rat egies t o overcome OCD. They t ell you which t ips work and which doesnt . More over
you come t o know t here is so much suf f ering, more t han you can imagine, t hrough t heir experiences,
and you may f eel you are luckier, compared t o t hem.
