Services Leader – GE MDS

ROLE SUMMARY

The Services Leader manages US and global services for customer


support and full turnkey solutions with overall accountability for
strategy, contract requirements, scope of services, project design, P&L,
quality, and delivery.

ESSENTIAL REPONSIBILITIES:

7 Define services strategy for the business and ensure growth and
profitability of the product/services offerings
8 Develop and drive services business plan through the strategic
planning (GPB) and budgeting (S2) processes. Own the budget for
orders, sales, conversion and CM.
9 Develop strong business relationships with customers and build
customers’ trust, enabling business growth
10 Engage global sales force to drive solutions offerings and build a
target pipeline for growth
11 Predict and deliver Sales and CM for the jobs in portfolio, quarter
after quarter. Tactically predict the financial plan for the year to
come
12 Manage Technical Service support team and processes to ensure
prompt customer issue resolutions
13 Provide guidance and leadership to project teams to effectively
execute projects through the use of project tools, routines, metrics
and documentation
14 Proactively manage costs to maximize Contribution Margin
15 Generate specifications as needed, and monitor schedule to ensure
customer-specified dates are met on time and within budget
16 Ensure timely, accurate specifications are provided to engineering,
vendors and manufacturing
17 Manage all direct material needs with technical services resources
and sourcing department
18 Hold team and customer coordination meetings to monitor internal
schedule and job progress, and to validate issues and expectations
19 Ensure timely cash collections on all projects, coordinate with
Finance, meet with customers to drive on time payments
20 Responsible for the technical control, cost control, schedule,
documentation, commercial and change management, quality, and
post-project activities for the services P&L
21 Facilitate problem resolution in the warranty period to ensure
customer satisfaction and retention
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

22 Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; MBA


preferred
23 Minimum of 10 years experience managing large, multi-year service
contracts (must have knowledge of tools and processes: metrics,
project management tools, documentation, etc)
24 Prior experience managing a P&L
25 Knowledge of design and functionality for wireless communications
or networking systems
26 Able to travel as needed, including internationally
