fromAmericanscitizens.ManyRepublicanshavecriticizedthePresidentfordoinganendrunaround
congress.Theysaygivingworkpermitstoanyillegalimmigrantsispoorlytimedwiththeunemployment
rateatmorethan8%.Republicansfeelthatduetopoorunemploymentrate,illegalimmigrantsshould
notbeallowedworkpermitsandcitizenship.Inthewesttherewereprotestsagainstchinese
immigrantstakingjobs.In1882congresspassedtheChineseExclusionActbarringimmigrantsfrom
china.PeopleprotestedaboutchineseimmigrantstakingjobsandthencongresspassedtheChinese
ExclusionActin1882.MiddleandlowerclassAmericanslosejobopportunitybecauseillegal
immigrantstakethem.IllegalimmigrantstakejobsfromAmericans.Therefore,illegalimmigrantsshould
notgetcitizenshipbecausetheytakejobsthatAmericansneedandshouldgetbeforeandillegal

immigrantscurrentlyintheU.S.areanenormousburdentoourcountryatatimewhenourabilityto
provideservicesforAmericansisalreadystrained.Thereare11millionillegalimmigrantsintheU.S.
Ourcountryisalreadystrugglingtofindandprovideresourcesforourownpeople.Thereforethatis
whyillegalimmigrantsarebadfortheeconomyandawaistofourresources.

Thelastreasonillegalimmigrantsshouldnotbegrantedcitizenshipisourtaxpayershavetopay
moneytoprovideeducationfortheimmigrants.AccordingtothefederationforAmericanImmigration
Reform,illegalimmigrationcostsU.S.taxpayers$113billionayear.Thebiggestexpensenearly$52
billionayeariseducatingthechildrenofillegalimmigrants,acostbornemostlybystateandlocal
governments.Theeducationforchildrenofillegalimmigrantscosttaxpayers$52billionayear.
AccordingtoFAIRsDirectorofSpecialProjectsJackMartin,illegalimmigrantscostfederalandstate
governmentsanestimated$10.7billionayearinhealthcarespending.Thenumbersarecontainedina
reportthatFAIRplanstopublishinthenearfuture.10.7billiondollarsintaxpayersmoneygoto
payingforhealthreasonsforillegalimmigrants.TheNRCfoundthattheaverageimmigranthousehold
receives$13,326infederalwelfareandpays$10,664.00infederaltaxes.Thus,Americantaxpayers
shellout$2,682.00foreachimmigranthousehold.Americantaxpayersarehavingtopayover2
thousanddollarsforimmigrantshousehold.Thereforeourtaxpayersarehavingtopaytheirhardearned
moneytosupportpeoplethatarenotlegallyinthiscountry.

ThosewhosupportgrantingillegalimmigrantscitizenshiprightsfeelthattheyareAmericansin
theirheart,intheirminds,andeverysinglewaybutonpaper.However,theyarenotAmericans.They
areunabletoholdasocialsecuritycard,affordtobuytheirownhealthinsurance,andcannotlegally
fightforourcountryinthearmedforces.

IllegalimmigrantsshouldnotbegrantedcitizenshipbecausetheytakejobsfromAmerican
citizensthatneedthemmorethanpeoplefromoutofcountry,theyareadrainontheeconomy,andthey
maketaxpayerspayforthemarethreereasonswhyillegalimmigrantsshouldnotbegrantedcitizenship
intheU.S.A.
