NATIONAL EXAMS

PURPOSE: This procedure provides information relating to specific national exams
and credit, which may be awarded in accordance with the University undergraduate
policy (A-AU-15) Credit on the Basis of National Examinations. Credit will be granted
only on the basis of results of initial testing and one retest.

PROCEDURE: ERAU accepts the minimum acceptable scores recommended by the
American Council on Education (ACE) for the award of undergraduate academic credit.
In addition, the amount of academic credit and level (upper or lower) recommended by
ACE will apply to:

Admitted students for the 2000-2001 catalog that was effective J uly 1, 2000, and all
subsequent catalogs.

Continuing students who completed exams on or subsequent to J uly 1, 2000.

Students in the 1999-2000 or previous catalogs who have completed exams J une 30,
2000 and prior are subject to the ERAU guidelines that were in effect at the time the
exam was taken. Waivers to allow new criteria for older catalogs will not be
considered.

Official CLEP or DANTES tests reports must be sent directly to Embry-Riddle from the
testing agency. ACT-PEP (RCE) test results must be submitted on an official grade
report from Regents College. Test titles and scores reported on other institution official
transcripts are also acceptable.

Extended Campus students are authorized to take National exams subsequent to
matriculation when approved by the appropriate Center Director of Operations or
Academic Advisor. In such cases, the office of Student Services must receive all
National test results before a student applies for graduation.
