ANATS is a professional association dedicated to serving those who

teach singing in Australia.


ANATS was established to encourage the highest standards in the
art of both singing and the teaching of singing.
ANATS promotes vocal education and research in all genres and
at all levels, both for the enrichment of the general public and for
the professional development, advancement and interest of both
singers and teachers.
ANATS maintains a register of teachers of singing who qualify for
membership under the terms of the associations constitution.
ANATS presents workshops, conferences and other forums for
members to meet together regularly on a national, state, territory
and/or regional basis, to exchange ideas and information in the
many felds of singing, voice science and pedagogy.
ANATS communicates with members through its regularly website,
its tri-annual newsletter The Voice of ANATS, its annual journal
Australian Voice, and other chapter-based newsletters.
ANATS provides bursaires, internships and other awards to
encourage teachers of singing to achieve excellence in their
profession.
Katrina Wellins (Contemporary Voice)
A graduate of the Central Queensland University
Conservatorium Music Theatre course and Melbourne
University Education, Katrina is involved in vocal
education at primary, secondary and tertiary levels.
She currently teaches contemporary voice at Box
Hill Institute and NMIT, alongside a busy private
studio. Katrina works primarily with Contemporary
Voice covering Rock, Pop, Jazz and Music Theatre,
and takes a keen interest in development of healthy
vocal technique and sustainable voice use. Katrina
has worked extensively with VCE students preparing
programs for Contemporary Voice examinations in
Group, Solo and Music Investigation. Her studio
boasts an excellent record of achievement in VCE
Contemporary Voice including featuring students in the
VCAA Season of Excellence Top Class performances.
David Rogers-Smith (Classical Singing)
David is passionate about singing and teaching singing.
He has an extensive performing career having achieved
thousands of performances over the past 20 years
including roles both in Musical Theatre (Les Miserables,
Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Sunday in the Park
with George) and in Opera (I Pagliacci, Madama
Butterfy, The Merry Widow). David is a regular leading
singer with Melbourne Opera and Victoria Opera.
He has been a soloist with many of the countrys
leading orchestras and performing choirs. For more

Students:
You can register either as an observer or masterclass
performer. There are limited places for the masterclass.
If you would like to perform, frst register as a student
and during the registration process, you can indicate
your interest in performing. We will contact students
selected to perform with further details. An additional
$20 is payable on the day for masterclass performers.

Performer - $80
A 10% concession applies to pensioners and health care
card holders.
