TCSPP Named to "30+ Most Promising Places to Work in the U.S.

, Plus Canada in Student Affairs"

A national study conducted by the Center for Inclusion, Diversity and Academic Success (IDEAS) has resulted
in The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP) being named to the 30+ Promising Places to Work
in Student Affairs list of higher education institutions. The study was presented by Diverse: Issues in Higher
Education and the American College Personnel Association (ACPA). TCSPP is the leading nonprofit national
graduate school devoted exclusively to psychology and related behavioral and health sciences.

The IDEAS study yields insight into diversity in the student affairs workplace and offers a useful tool for
employers, career services staff, and job-seekers across the country. With a focus on workplace diversity,
staffing practices and work environment, a five-member advisory board and IDEAS research team found The
Chicago School to be among the best at promoting diversity recruitment. A web-based survey approach to
examine categories such as family friendliness, salary/benefits and professional development opportunities
was used as the determining criteria.

The findings of this study reflect and confirm The Chicago Schools effective diversity recruitment efforts in
our Student Affairs Division and throughout our institution, stated Michele Nealon-Woods, Psy.D., national
president of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Recognition from studies such as this strongly
reinforces our commitment to ongoing professional development and fostering of best practices among our
staff.

The Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs Survey was sent to all Senior Student Affairs Officers of
ACPA-member institutions. Diverse, ACPA and IDEAS plan to do additional studies in other higher education
sectors in the coming months.

professionals dedicated to creating and maintaining an inclusive campus environment that allows students
to take full advantage of academic and co-curricular offerings. TCSPP supports students by offering a variety
