SOLA SCRIPTURA

Dear Pastor Nabors,

From the beginning of your letter defending homosexuality it was apparent that you do not
believe nor endorse scripture. Nine paragraphs of babbling before even getting to what you
wanted to say. Nine paragraphs demonstrating that you believe mans word (science) over
Gods Word (scripture). It is evident that even creation is fantasy in your mind. Your discourse
on the subject offered nothing profound or scriptural because there is no evidence to support
your theories.
God does love homosexuals, as He does fornicators, adulterers, those who commit murder, the
covetous, liars, thieves, idolaters, drunkards, revilers, etcetera. No credible pastor ever said that
God doesnt. So, your argument concerning homosexuality doesnt make any sense. But, as the
old adage says, One excuse is as good as another. Are you trying to say that all of the above
categories of sinners have free tickets to Heaven because of Gods love: even if they refuse to
repent and live a life of loving obedience to Christ? Or are you just trying to say that sinners
whose bondage is homosexuality have special privileges not afforded other sinners? That there
is no need for them to repent, be born again and live a life of loving obedience to Christ
because they have a free pass into Heaven?
Love is the central theme of the scriptures. However, in John 13:34 Jesus is not saying that He is
giving a new commandment. The Greek word here is kainen from the transliteration kainos
which means a novel or new way of saying or expressing something, fresh, or according to
Strongs Greek a unique way of looking at something because it is not found like this before.
It was because of Gods love that despite what He knew would happen, God created us anyway.
It was because of Gods love that He allowed Satan the free will and opportunity to corrupt a
third of the angels in Heaven. It was with love that the King of all kings wrote the Ten
Commandments with His own finger. The first 4 commandments teach us how to love and
respond to God; and the last 6 commandments teach us how to respond to each other, as well
as how to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. It was Gods love that kept Him on the cross
at Calvary. It will even be Jehovahs love demonstrated when He destroys those who would be
tortured more by being in His presence for eternity (because of their appetite and love for sin)
than being destroyed by hell fire!
Oh, but the other side of love is judgment. God loved Uzzah but struck him dead. 2 Samuel 6:1-
7 says that Uzzah tried to save the Ark of the Covenant from falling but was struck dead by God.
Good intentions but disobedience led to death. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for their
sins even though He loved them. God loved everyone in the Earth during Noahs time but sent a
flood to destroy all who were rebellious. Only 8 souls were saved. Countless stories in the Old
Testament confirm Gods love but punishment for sin.
The New Testament is no different. Acts 5:1-11 recounts the story of how Ananias and Sapphira
were destroyed for lying to the Holy Spirit. Matthew 7:14 declares, Strait is the gate, and
narrow is the way, that leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 18:8-9 says,
Wherefore if thy hand or foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better
for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast
into everlasting fire. Romans 1:18 admonishes, For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven
against all ungodliness, and unrighteousness of men, who hold back the truth in
unrighteousness.. Verse 22, Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools (like some
of us with PhDs).. Verse 32, Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit
such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do
them. 2Peter 3:9 teaches, The Lord is not slack concerning His promise as some men count
slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should
come to repentance. Verse 17, Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before,
beware lest ye also, being led away with ERROR of the wicked, fall from your steadfastness.
Pastor, you should be ashamed. Not for what your colleagues are doing, but for your rebellion
against God. Anointing doesnt come from a degree or from extensive study. Some of the most
educated people are spiritually ignorant. The anointing is a gift from God, given to whom He
chooses. However, concerning homosexuality there is nothing to interpret. The scriptures are
clear about homosexuality from the Old to the New Testament. Even a small 7 or 8 year old
child with an open, unbiased mind would understand what the scripture is saying. Either you
believe scripture or you dont. I pray that you will see how the devil has perverted your mind,
and short circuited your connection to The Throne. It is embarrassing to read a comment from a
commenter named Brandon Mclean under your article at Pridesource.com. He admits that he
knows what the Bible says about homosexuality and understands that the Bible says it is sin.
But because of your article he adds that the Bible was written by 7 men is hardly the word of
God. You have given Gods enemies occasion to blaspheme, not to mention leading millions
who have itching ears down a road of lies and destruction! How dare you give homosexuals
permission to marry (theyre still committing fornication because God doesnt recognize it)
when our Lord forbids it? I pray that you meditate on Proverbs 3:5-7, and Proverbs 14:12. The
first says, Trust in the Lord (not Dr./Mr. Michael Nabors) with all thine heart; and lean not to
thine own understanding. In all thy way acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not
wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. Proverbs 14:12 instructs There is
a way that which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
As of this moment (unless you repent and let the Lord restore you) Mr. Nabors you are not fit
to lead Gods people. Maybe if you cannot agree or obey God it could be that you are in the
wrong profession. God doesnt need us to think. All He needs is for us to believe. The truth is
that unless we believe Him as little children believe their parents unconditionally, we wont
make it into the Kingdom. Isaiah 55:9 puts it this way, For as the Heavens are higher than the
Earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
Mr. Nabors I do agree with you regarding one statement. You did come out alright: as a Judas
Iscariot.

Sincerely,
Daniel Delancy
