OVERVIEW
The Model P92 workstation can be used with
I/A Series or Wonderware

workstation software,
and can also provide a platform for Invensys

Foxboro

, third-party, and user-written applications.

As a multipurpose workstation running the
Windows XP operating system, the Model P92
workstation supports execution of system
applications, data communications for a broad range
of applications, file serving capabilities, and display of
graphics and text. It also interfaces with corporate
networks at a local or worldwide level.

The Model P92 workstation supports a mouse or
optional trackball, an alphanumeric keyboard, up to
two annunciator or annunciator/numeric keyboards,
and one to four monitors. The P92 workstation also
supports an optional USB touchscreen (purchased
separately).
The Model P92 workstation features up to three
serial ATA hard disk drives and up to 4 GB of ECC
RAM memory. The processor supports an internal
system hard drive and an internal DVD+RW drive
allowing for archiving of up to 4.7 GB on one DVD+R
disc or up to 700 MB on a CD-R. The floppy disk
controller supports one disk drive.
Client/server communication is accomplished using
the TCP/IP networking protocol with the integrated
network port or optional network interface cards
(NICs).
As symbolized by the CE logo, the Model P92
workstation conforms to the applicable European
Union directives.
To interface with an I/A Series Redundant Control
Network, the Model P92 workstation requires a
Redundant Control Network Interface module (refer
to PSS 21H-7B6 B4).
The Model P92 workstation contains the following
