standupagainsttheoppositionandfightformyopinions,showing
themthatIunderstandeverythingtheworldthrowsatmewhetherI
convincethemornotisntnecessarilythepoint,thefactthatIm
followingmyownpathregardlessofwhatothersthinkisthemost
importantthing.Mymainaiminlifeistolivebythisrule,and
sharemyopinionsinanattempttoshowothershowcorruptthe
Governmentcanbe,whetherthat'sintheUK,Russia,China,America
itdoesntmatter,eachGovernmenthastheirsecrets(9/11andthe
BostonBombingsforexample,weallknowtheAmericanGovernment
canthidethetruthforever).Ifightfortherightsofthosewho
opposetherulesinanattempttoshinethespotlightonthecrimes
goingonbehindthescenes.
EdwardSnowden,forinstance,isawhistleblowerwhoshonethe
spotlightonthehorrificmasssurveillancecrimesoftheNSAand
GCHQ(sincetheyresomewhatpartnersincrime,withtheabilityto
sharedataoftheircitizens).DuetotheNSAcommittingmass
surveillance,theybrokethefourthamendmentoftheU.S
Constitution.Howironic.Afterseeingthisdatawhilstworkingwith
theNSA,SnowdenanInternationalherodecidedtoleakthe
information,givinguphis$250,000yearsalaryandlifeinHawaii,
forthebenefitofothers.Thisledtheworldtoreactinaway
thoughtimpossible,evenleadingtomajoreventslikeTheDayWe
FightBackTheworldwantstheirfreedom,freefromthe
constraintsofmasssurveillance,andfreefrombeingsilencedbythe
Government.Oneday,Icanassureyou,ourgoalswillbemet.The
worldcantwait,andourideascantbeignored.JustbecauseIm
British,doesntmeantheseproblemsdontaffectme.Theyaffect
everyone.
Letstalkaboutanotherperson,whoopposedthegovernment:Tank
Man/TheUnknownProtester.OnJune5th,1989,asinglemanstoodin
frontofalineofType59,approachingtanks,whowereontheirway
topermanentlysilenceprotestersatTiananmenSquare,inChina.
Shoppingbagsinhand,herefusedtomoveoutofthewarpathofthe
tanks,movingfromsidetosidewhentheydid.Itwasonlywhenhe
wasmovedoutofthewaybythePSB(PublicSecurityBureau)
disguisedascivilians,thatthetankscouldcontinueon.Hewas
neverseenagain.Thisheroicmanssacrificehasinfluenceda
generationincludingmeandallowedpeopletoseethatthey
shouldntbeafraidofopposingthegovernment,andshouldneverbe
afraidoftheconsequencesthatmayfollow.
Theworldasweknowitisconstantlychanging,andwitheachnew
dawn,anewwhistleblowerorpublicheroemerges.Thankstothese
selfless,courageouspeople,suchasEdwardSnowden,ChelseaManning,
andTankMan(tonameafew),aswellastheactivistgroupAvaaz,
andtheideathatisAnonymous,Ivelearnttothinkdifferentlyof
thephraseallactionshaveconsequencesandfocussolelyonthe
actions.Ithankmyfellowactivistsallaroundtheworldforhelping
meseewhyarevolutionissodesperatelydesired,andpraisethem
fortheirwork.Activismisnowahugepartofmylife,andIveonly
juststartedmyjourney.Theroadaheadwillbelonganddifficult,
andwhileImaynotbeabletomakeadifferencealone,Iknowthat
togetherasoneunited,worldwideactivistfamilywecan
influenceapandemicofheroicprotesters,whowillsharetheir
opinionsandideas,andneverbeafraidtodoso.

Finally,Idliketofinishoffbysayingthankyouforreading
thisletter,ifyoumadeitthisfar.Itmeansalottometohave
beengiventhisopportunitytoexpressmyopinionsinawaywhere
someonewhowastheabilitytoinfluenceanationcanreadthem.I
