4. When we exercise we feel hotter and breathe faster. Why?

Ans. During exercise our muscles need more oxygen and energy giving
food such as glucose. Blood carries these to all parts of the body. So
harder you exercise the more food and oxygen is needed so our heart
pumps faster and some of the food is also changed into heat.
5. Heart
Heart is the organ that pumps blood to all parts of the body. It is
situated in the middle of the chest and protected by the ribs.
It has 4 chambers an upper right and left atrium( auricle)and lower,
right and left ventricle.
6. Which side of the heart receives blood carrying carbon dioxide from
your body? Ans: The right-hand side.
7. Which side of the heart receives blood carrying oxygen from your
lungs? Ans: The left-hand side.
8. Arteries : Blood vessels with thick walls which carries blood from the
heart to other parts of the body.
9. Veins : Blood vessels with thin walls which carries blood to the heart.
10. Pulse : Ans: It is the rhythmic contraction and expansion of the
arteries with each beat of the heart.
11. Rate of heart beat : Heart beats about 70 times a minute.
12. Why does the pulse rate fall after exercise?
Ans: During resting, the muscles need less oxygen and glucose than
during exercise.

be healthy. Eg: Vitamin A, Vitamin-B,
Vitamin-C, Vitamin-D, Vitamin-E and

Sunlight helps us to make Vitamin D.
Too much Sun bathing can cause skin cancer.
To protect us from Sun, we need to
-Wear a sun hat , Use sun lotion , Sit in a shady place, Wear sun glasses.
