1. T gathers classes attention. Today we will create
an original piece using garage band.
2. We will take opinions of the class and some
choices we can vote on and others I will make the
call to insure that we finish on time.
3. T asks class if they have any ideas of how the
piece should begin. T takes into consideration the
class opinions and then asks what music of that
style includes.

6. T expands on the piece taking the classes ideas
and incorporating them into the piece.
7. T gives students options to add in new ideas to
the piece by showing them a variety of features
that garage band offers them, and then asks their
opinion if that feature will be useful to the piece or
not and sometimes why they think that. T also
asks what that feature could be useful for.
8. T helps move the class along in an efficient
manner so class time does not go to waste.

garageband.
1. If time is left over which is unlikely, T has students
go on their computers and begin creating their
own pieces on garageband.
2. For this project T only gives the guideline of 16
measures because the piece is meant to be a
dive-in sort of experience just to get used to
using the program.
3. T may use examples of students songs with their
permission and discuss with the class strategies
that they used to create it.
