SPI's PulseTune technology provides the ability to select waveforms, offering 25 pulse widths from 10ns up to 240ns. Each pulse waveform is optimised for maximum peak power and pulse energy at its preferred operational frequency. This gives users of the HS series greater control of pulse conditions over the full pulse repetition range.

Beam Options S type - Single moded fiber lasers, M 2 1.3, offering high beam quality, capable of small focal spot sizes with high peak intensity and high depth of field. Ideally suited to applications requiring small feature sizes. L type - Extremely versatile, low moded fiber lasers, 1.6 M 2 2.0. Usable for the vast majority of marking and micro-machining applications. The slightly larger spot size gives visible line widths with standard scanners and optics. The lower peak intensity enables these lasers to be used on sensitive materials. H type - High moded fiber lasers, 2.6 M 2 3.7, with higher pulse energy, peak power and average powers. The beams broad energy distribution enables wider line spacing, improving fill characteristics for fast, large area processing. The higher pulse energy is particularly suited to deep engraving applications. 0 0.2 0.4 0.6 0.8 1 1.2 1.4 1.6 1.8 0 50 100 150 200 250 Time (ns) A m p l i t u d e
