4 Power System of the BTS3900
The BTS3900 supports 110 V AC, 220 V AC, and -48 V DC power supplies. When AC power
is supplied, the power is converted to -48 V DC power for the base station.
5 Configurations of the Monitoring System
The monitoring signals and alarm signals for the components of the cabinet must be converged
into the BBU before processed.
6 BTS3900 Components
This chapter describes the components of the BTS3900, which are the BBU3900, LRFUs,
DCDU-01, FAN unit, ELU, power system, and optional components.
7 BTS3900 Cables
This chapter describes the BTS3900 cables. The BTS3900 cables consist of the PGND cable,
power cable, transmission cable, CPRI cable, signal cable, and RF cable.
8 BTS3900 Auxiliary Equipment
This chapter describes the auxiliary equipment of the BTS3900.

7.7 BTS3900 RF Cable
The BTS3900 RF cables are the RF jumper and inter-RFU RF signal cable.
7.7.1 RF Cable Connections of the BTS3900
The BTS3900 supports three typical configurations: 3 x 10 MHz 2T2R, 3 x 20 MHz 2T2R, and
3 x 10 MHz 4T4R. Different number of LRFUs is required for each configuration. Therefore,
the RF cable connections are also different.

7.7.2 RF Jumper
The RF jumper connects the RFU and the feeder of the antenna system for signal exchange
between the base station and the antenna system.
3 x 10 MHz 2T2R and 3 20 MHz 2T2R
3 x 10 MHz 2T2R indicates that the BTS3900 supports three sectors, each of which uses 10
MHz frequency bandwidth and provides two downlink channels and two uplink channels.
3 x 20 MHz 2T2R indicates that the BTS3900 supports three sectors, each of which uses 20
MHz frequency bandwidth and provides two downlink channels and two uplink channels.
In the 3 x 10 MHz 2T2R or 3 20 MHz 2T2R configuration, three LRFUs are installed in the
cabinet. Figure 7-37 shows the RF cable connections.

3 x 10 MHz 4T4R
3 x 10 MHz 4T4R indicates that the BTS3900 supports three sectors, each of which uses 10
MHz frequency bandwidth and provides four downlink channels and four uplink channels.
In the 3 x 10 MHz 4T4R configuration, six LRFUs are installed in the cabinet. Figure 7-38
