To become a photographer at Kendall College of art and design you have to have a high
school diploma and a GPA of 2.50 or have an ACT score of 17 or a SAT combined score of 820. I
plan on going to Kendall College of art and design. There you can get your undergraduate and
graduate degrees. If you have been out of high school for 3 years there is no ACT test required.
The costs to become an undergraduate are: estimated Tuition & Fees are $29,958,
room & board is $8,690, books & supplies are $868, laptop/software requirements are $3,000
that is the estimated cost for a MacBook Pro, Other expenses are $1,906 that includes
personal, travel and miscellaneous expenses, and the total is $44,422. The costs to become a
graduate are: estimated tuition & fees $17,438, room & board $8,690, books & supplies $868,
laptop/software requirements $3,000 that is the estimated cost for a MacBook Pro, other
expenses: $1,906 that includes personal, travel and miscellaneous expenses, the total is
$31,902.
The employment of photographers is estimated to grow 4 percent from 2012 to 2022,
which is slower than the average for all occupations. The starting salary of a photographer is
$29,567 with the average ranging closer to the $40,000 to $60,000. Average Photographer
salaries for job postings nationwide are 60% lower than average salaries for all job postings
nationwide. Its not required but it is still recommended if you are serious about becoming a
Photographer.
I chose this career because I really love taking pictures and if you look at how much you
would bring in from all the different types of photography: Baby photographer is $18,000,
wedding photographer event photography is $126,000, and a Wedding photographer is
$102,000. If you do all of these combined you could earn $246,000.
