Organization Structure Reports to the Programs Manager
Responsibilities
Work with Event staff to perform tasks as assigned, including, but not limited to, stuffing envelopes, organizing/preparing refreshments and staffing registration tables Tasks may vary widely from event to event Promote the Special Event to members of the public in a diplomatic and courteous manner Participate in event activities' coordination and delivery Attend orientations before events if required Represent Polycultural at the event Arrive at specified times and locations ready to perform the assigned tasks Wear appropriate dress for the event, as specified by Events staff Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Full time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full time bases in the next academic year (compulsory requirement) Between the age of 18 to 30 at the start of the employment with authorization to work in Canada (compulsory requirement) Post-secondary student enrolled in the following studies: Education, Community Services, Recreation, Social Work, Arts, Psychology or other related filed Good presentation and facilitation skills Ability to operate equipment Punctual, reliable and responsible Good oral communication skills Excellent stress management skills Ability to follow directions in a fast paced and often changing environment Ability to interact with a variety of individuals in culturally diverse environments Familiarity with issues newcomers are facing in Canada Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of newcomers in Canada Conditional to satisfactory police reference check
