1. +ntrod"ction
In this section the various works related to Temporary Facilities needed for the Contractor,
Owner and Employer is described.
For further requirement to the Temporary Facilities please also refer to the reamble for
Temporary Facilities in section !".".
#ll permanent e$ternal works such as site levellin%, roads and squares, power supply, water,
draina%e, sewa%e etc. for these facilities are to be carried out by the Contractor, but this will be
measured under E$ternal &orks in 'ill of (uantities !).*.
+owever off loadin%, stora%e and collection of equipment supplied by the Employer is to be
included in the relevant rates under art III, ,echanical erection and art I-, Electrical erection
respectively.
$. -emporar# Facilitie
The Temporary .ite Facilities comprise the entire temporary installations and facilities needed by
the Contractor for the performance of the /ob related to civil works, structural steel works,
mechanical erection and electrical erection, or such parts which is included in the Contractors
scope. Further the temporary facilities needed by the Owner and the Employer are included.
In the 'ills of (uantities
the price items )0.101 to )0.221 covers the Contractor3s Temporary .ite Facilities
and
the price items )*.101 to )*.221 covers the temporary facilities needed by the Owner and the
Employer for the items supplied by the Employer.

This %roup comprises the complete temporary installations and facilities needed by the Contractor
for the performance of his /ob. The positions )0.*11 to )0."21 cover .tora%e areas and
&orkshops needed by the Contractor for his own equipment, civil 4 buildin% works, structural
steel, claddin%, steel doors, windows, etc., which are formin% part of the Contractor3s own supply,
plus equipment for mechanical and electrical erection, if these are part of his scope.
The Contractor must determine himself which si5e buildin%s and areas he finds necessary for
performin% his own duties. The si5e of the various areas is to be informed with the offer 6column
in 'o( !).", pos )0.7778.

The Contractor does not necessarily need to establish his own laboratory 6full or partly8 under this
position, but he must allow the cost for either this or for havin% all the required tests made at
a%reed reco%nised e$istin% facilities.

must be established.
Further the area is to be enclosed and secured in such a manner that the flow of materials
can be controlled to prevent loss.

controlled to prevent loss.

controlled to prevent loss.
Further the access to the buildin% is to be made and li%htin% installed in such a way that
equipment can be placed and9or collected at all times.

proof roof. The buildin% can be with a sheetin% roof and open sides, but it must be adapted
to the actual climate.
The buildin% need not to be enclosed, if it is to be placed in such a manner that the flow of
materials can be controlled to prevent loss else this must be observed in some other manner.
Further the access to the buildin% is to be made and li%htin% installed in such a way that
equipment can be placed and9or collected at all times.
